The Ratings continue to bang in winner after winner so it was extremely frustrating that we could only bag three 2nd placed finishes in SAW. That’s two blank days in a row – first time I think that has happened so with betting banks bruised and a wee bit battered, we need to bounce back today.

Well allegedly, its Spring, but with so much heavy rain falling at Newcastle and Wetherby it has resulted in a plethora of Non Runners - making my life increasingly difficult and with serious going changes, revaluing all the races and putting paid to all my prelim work last night. Its back to January's storms all over again. With more rain around and with so many non runners, its not a day to get heavily involved in. Tread carefully.
SAW drew a blank yesterday - first time in a while, which was very disappointing. I still dont know why Thatchmaster went off so fast, or why Our Island clearly didnt stay when clearly had stayed over CD previously. So frustrating. BBOTD was back to winning ways - early price was 4/5 so turned out we almost doubled our money at the early price as it was sent off 2/5 on at SP.

Good morning! The Service had one its best Saturdays with many winners/placed efforts and quite a few 1-2s as well. The BBOTD won again on the steel (Jockey never moved and it won by 5 lengths at a canter).

A reasonable day for the ratings though to be honest there was some rather strange results and I am still highly suspicious over George Bakers ride on Dangerous Age - he did almost everything he could to lose that race and almost threw away the win on Kindlelight Storm, by looking around and riding very strangely to the line when almost caught by the 14/1 outsider. Thankfully we secured the BBOTD (another winning day) and SAW also secured profit.
Saturday is always a dodgy day so tread carefully today. A great card at Lingfield though, and it will be interesting to see who wins the Winter Derby in the 3.50!

Good morning. Another good day for both SAW and our Ratings Service with plenty of winners and RFCs being bagged. After the rotten racing of Monday and Tuesday we really have had 2 good days and it shows that with better racing comes better results as the criteria can be a little more accurate in assessing and finding us winners. I was especially pleased in particular with West Coast Dream (4/1) and Loyaute (7/2)
Whilst they weren’t massive 33/1 prices, the races both the winners ran in were very trappy events and both my rated selections were (a) not initally fav and (b) not tipped by the tipsters. Both beat the early priced up favourires. Its little wins like these that demonstrate the strength of the Ratings, as with our Selection of Whisper at 22/1 last week. Fingers crossed we can continue the form we’ve shown essentially all year.

Much better racing yesterday and that showed in a marked improvement in the amount of winners/placed/rfc’s for the Service.
BBOTD was back in the winning enclosure with a nice 2/1 (advised) win and we also got a 14/1 winner in the Value Selections to go with a 7/1 placed effort from 4 selections.
SAW continued to go well 2 from 3 winners yesterday and a 230/1 ew double wasn’t far away with our 20/1 just running flat in the last ½ furlong to finish a 3 ½ length 5th but with our 14/1 shot bolting up we ensured a decent return if backing to singles as well.
I am developing a new EW System which is being trialled in the SAW Service and we have another big EW selection lined up today currently around the 12/1-11/1 mark.

Good morning! Well yesterday’s final day at Cheltenham ended up being a bruising affair. Our selections either pulled up, fell or unseated their riders. RPRs / time splits and Form deserted Cheltenham and produced some very strange results. So many horses ran either well below their rating or conversely well above their rating. We only managed 1 winner -Tammy Hill giving us a totally of 11 for the 4 days. I did suggest in my write up on Day 4 that the card looked “tricky”. Oh how I was proved right. However I hope over the 4 days members were generally up and it showed the power of the ratings. Those with me last year will remember that we a really good Royal Ascot as well.
Our BBOTD continues to improve its strike rate – I think that is 5 winners from 8 recent selections.
In fairness though, yesterday’s results were not as good as the previous 6 days. Today looks difficult. There are a number of races where the horses are so closely matched it is making it extremely difficult to call. Regular members will remember me refer to “blip” days. Final day of what has been an enthralling Cheltenham Festival. I think as a Service we’ve held our own over the last 3 days. In large field grade 1 races I think we’ve only failed to have a placed horse in 2 races and we’ve had some notable winners/placed efforts no more than Whisper at 22/1 on Wednesday and we also had a 16/1 3rd with Roberto Goldback – I doubt that was on many tipsters lists!!
Day 4 looks quite tricky and it will be interesting to see if Bobs Worth can win the Gold Cup.
Aside from Cheltenham, we’ve also managed to bag quite a few winners and whilst a no selection day (members ignore it and still bet on the selections) we had 2 from 3 winners. That’s 11 winners from 15 selections which I guess isn’t too shabby?!

Good morning! So far we’re having an “ok” Cheltenham. We’ve had some decent winners and we’ve had a few on the bob seconds and a few decent ones placed. So far we’re having a better Festival than our friends over at Speed Ratings and I understand the new Service hasn’t got off to the best of starts either. Let’s hope our run continues today. Fog seems to be the biggest worry for organisers – the ground has been selectively watered to maintain the good/good to soft conditions. They run on the “new” course today (and tomorrow).
