Thanks to everyone who emailed me last night ( some of you must be insomniac’s) about my ratings, as you know I will publish my ratings that match Matt’s, in order to give double confidence. A lot of your emails centred around my 2nd and 3rd ratings for the dutching strategy, so without publishing my entire ratings, I will publish like Robert, Chris et al, the races that I will be betting on, plus the current odds. You can decide to follow, tweak or paper trade, your call.

    NB. LEICESTER ABANDONED

Remember, the strategy is 1 point level stakes on all selections, except where odds are over 5/1, then each way, where odds of other selections allow ( see earlier posts regarding this)

    Ascot 1505 Abdon 7/2 / Prize Money 13/2 / Steel of Madrid 11/1
    Ripon 1555 Gulf of Poets 3/1 / Salieris Mass 11/4 / Indy 10/1
    Ascot 1735 Platitude 20/1 / Navajo War Dance 33/1 / Juste Pour Nous 33/1
    Ffos Las 2040 Aylas Emperor 9/2 / Cape Caster 4/1 / Church Field 12/1

    Hi Phil,

Regarding e/w bets, I only place bet were odds are over 5/1, but you must check the odds of your other selections if dutching in the same race, Eg,  if your 1st selection is very short odds, say 4/5, and your 2nd selection is 9/2, you’d  e/w the 9/2 as over 5/1, but in this scenario, if your 4/5 goes on to win, you would make a loss. Does that make sense?

Morning all, As you know I was publishing my ratings in Matt’s absence, I was going to continue to do this but Matt and I had a long chat and felt that it would be information overload, especially with conflicting selections. So we agreed that I would publish my ratings that match Matt’s, this way it may help in deciding your strategy as it potentially gives you double confidence. I will publish the results daily, and who knows we might just bag few winners out there today.

Following four millimetres of overnight rain the going for the opening day of Royal Ascot has now changed to soft all round.

There is the possibility of more rain to come with showers forecast from lunchtime and again on Wednesday and Thursday.

The going stick readings are 6.7 stands side, 6.5 centre, 6.7 far side and 6.1 on the round course.

Going to make things really tricky.
