Guys and Gals, great to hear so many of you adding the 7-20 to your betting portfolios. I just want to keep a reality check for you, whilst yesterday was a very good day please be mindful that you will experience losing runs but stay with it for the recommended 1000 bets, protect your bank, 100 point bank, 1 point e/w bets. Today may be very different, stay disciplined and you will profit from this strategy, guaranteed!!!

    Morning James!

Regarding the 7-20 using the TPS ratings, Once Matt has published place your bets there and then, you’d be surprised how many shorten, therefore early is best to maximise value. I personally place considerably more bets, these arise from my own ratings and an algorithym I wrote to scan the market to look for extra value, those horses that have a greater chance of at least placing than their odds would dictate (maths and bookies overround). These bets come in all through the day mind.

Start small, 100 point bank (£200 @ 50p e/w if you like) once bank has doubled (£400) double your stake to £1 e/w. For each bank double, double your stake. This way you are increasing your profits but still protecting the bank from the potential long losing runs that happen when using long odds. But, the Law Of Large number dictates, if you do enough bets (and I suggest at least 1000 to gauge the success, and each 100 therafter) you will win more than you lose, pure maths nothing more! This is a volume strategy, so stopping at a winner will not work.

    So to summarise:

    1. Back all TPS rated horses between 7-20 (6/1 – 19/1) regardless of whether it’s 1st, 2nd or even 3rd rated. The only consideration to take on board is, probability is against you in races paying only 2 places, so I avoid these, as the value has been eroded.

    2. Long term strategy, at least 1000 bets

    3. Bank roll management essential (100 point bank 1pt e/w bets)

This should help any ‘newbies’ too, but if I’ve missed anything or you need more info, just shout!!

Warren, 7-20 strategy works like this:

Back all rated horses between 7-20 (6/1 – 19/1) regardless of field size race type etc.

Don’t back a selection that fits the criteri if only two places are on offer (probability is against us here)

Start with a 100 point bank and place one point each way bets at the bookies, do not use the Exchanges.

Minimum number of bets (sample size) should be 1000, so this is a long term strategy.

    Hope that helps?

Morning Ray, the beauty of the 7-20 system is it doesn’t discriminate by race type, or day, to answer your question, Saturdays’ are perfect because of the volume of racing. Remember this is all about volume (The Law Of Large Numbers) try to see this as long term strategy, minimum of 1000 bets to gauge the success (I’ve turned a £100 bank into £4.5k ) and yes we get losing days/streaks, sometimes as long as 20 selections in a row, but because of the odds we are using and the careful bank management (100 point bank, 1 point each way) we have protected the bank from the losing runs and just a couple of long odds winners per day ensure bank growth.

I’ve gone on a bit there and perhaps a bit of piste! But just back everything in the ratings that fit the criteria, and yes yesterday was a good day straight from the first race (Fethiye Boy @ 11/1)

So, here’s to a profitable day today!!
