I had a red face last night when I reviewed the results after getting home. After my stark warnings I was amazed that the ratings performed so well. Quite rightly I came home to several really angry emails from members who took my advice and several who emailed to say they ignored my advice. Look, all I can do is inform you of the low rating numbers when they come up and due to living every win and loss with you guys, I feel a sense of responsibility. Its a double edged sword as it wasn't a week ago I advised caution and I think we only got 9 winners throughout the whole day. Today looks a typical Saturday - some great racing but tricky at the same time. Caution advised!

2nd rated ruled yesterday but only marginally - I lost count of how many times the 2nd rated beat the 1st rated by less than 1/2 lengh, most of the time it was a neck or less. Night Law at 9/1 beat Her Terms by a shd, Parliamentarian at 7/1 beat St Michel by a nose. Tripartite beaten by a nose etc.....This proves (well it did yesterday) the value of either Dutching or betting both a level stakes. In the first two examples, with such a short price and a larger price, profit is easily obtainable by dutching. In fact, working through yesterday, dutching or even betting the selections as a PLACE only bet would have been profitable. Sadly the BBOTD (3rd) and the win double were poor!
Today the racing on my numbers tells me to AVOID! Strength 1-10, its a 2-3 tops! I know most ignore my pleas, but seriously today for whatever reason, its low. If you can, and if you have the will, I would ask you all skip today.
If you havent tried out the PLACE market before, today may be a good time to use it and perhaps a profit STOP figure of £10-20 would be senible. Just get the feeling that more may place than win today.

As far as Saturdays go, that wasnt a bad day! Some really nice priced winners - some really nice 1st rated priced winners and I sincerely hope some decent profit was made. The 500 Club had a 100% week with 2 massive winners from 2. 50% winners from the new system bets and a 40% return for the 100 Club which was a tad unlucky as 2 selection lost by a nose and short head. Lots to be happy about going into this week. Very mediocre racing today - Rating numbers are mid-low and with the weather the way it is, I'd suggest you catch up on the vitamin D.

BBOTD won as easy as you like and we also had a few decent priced
winners throughout the day but again, overall winners were down on average. Some strange rides on occasions as well - I was watching a few results last night and was a little perplexed at how some races panned out, with either jockeys going too soon or failing to act at all and leaving themselves 5-6 lengths to make up over a furlong and a half. Still, thats the nature of this game and shows how political it can be behind the scenes.

Yesterday demonstrated the value in betting BOTH selections either by way of Dutching or level stakes given the results and we also had "one of those days" given some results ended with our selection being pipped by a nose/ short head/head/neck on no less than 5 occasions. So I gave all the warnings in the world about swerving yesterday and whilst I dont regret that, I do look a wee bit silly given how well the results went. A reasonable day after all. Reasonable day despite the weather turning awful at Ayr. Hopefully enough winners throughout the day to make members profits. Just a polite warning - todays racing looks extremely tricky - not great racing and the Ratings figures are really low and the spread is quite wide meaning that the results could be poor today - those playing the 90 min strategy are advised NOT to play today. For me, todays figures tells me its a no bet day! If I could, I wouldnt put up any selections to prevent members from betting. However, this is a paid up service so you deserve to see the ratings. However, this is NOT A DAY to get involved. IMO!
