Nice place money for us yesterday (9/1SP)
Saturday’s EYECATCHER
1255 Ascot – Ma Belle Noire 11/1
Probably needed the race when comfortably held in handicap chase over 3m1f at Hereford last time out when still green;back down in trip; good mark on 2023 form; top jockey booked; leading player!
Richard LevettModeratorWell beaten yesterday!
NAP of the day
1335 Punchestown – Law Ella 10/3
Bit too much to do beaten 1 1/4 lengths over 2m6f at Listowel last time out; back down in trip today; good mark off Listed form; should be there or therabouts!
Richard LevettModeratorFriday’s EYECATCHER
1305 Chepstow – Lucky Lugger 10/1
Beaten 2 1/4 lengths over C&D last time out; should progress for that run; big chance to make amends!
Richard LevettModeratorNAP of the day
1440 Ascot – Break My Soul 15/8
Beaten a nose last tim eout over C&D but arguably not given the best ride! can make amends today.
Richard LevettModeratorWednesday’s EYECATCHER
1250 Ffos Las – Monty’s Soldier 6/4
Big drifter and badly outpaced before flying home on reappearance, can do better on a more galloping track!
Richard LevettModeratorOne from two for the EYECATCHERS on Saturday!
Monday’s EYECATCHER
1410 Leicester – Impatient 2/1
Ideally suited by trip when landing handicap by 4 lengths over 3m at Ffos Las last time out; well treated if turned out quickly; back down in trip today; unproven on fast ground but has potential; should be there or thereabouts!
Richard LevettModeratorOur NAP yesterday could only manage a 3rd place, but sadly the winner of the race (Abuffalosoldier) died shortly after from a cardio vascular incident! In these sad situations the position of our horse is of little relevance. Once again Racing is in the limelight for all the wrong reasons after 4 fatalities at Cheltenham yesterday but I’m absolutely sure all horses were attended to with the utmost and most humane care from the veterinary staff – sad day!
NAP of the day
2015 Southwell – HK Fourteen 11/8
Completed hat trick in a handicap by a length at Newcastle last time out; unexposed over sprint trips; can go in again!
Richard LevettModeratorNo luck again yesterday!
NAP of the day
1455 Cheltenham – Hymac 3/1
Landed handicap by 11 1/2 lengths over 3m4f here on penultimate start; won a novice hurdle at Newton Abbot last time out; versatile ground wise; big chance today!
Richard LevettModeratorSo a place as hoped yesterday for our EYECATCHER, in fact it waas close, could have taken it. Incidentally, he’s turned out again today! if that’s not too quick may go in today!
Saturday’s EYECATCHERS
1310 Cheltenham – Strictlydancer 11/1
Below par comfortably held in a handicap chase over C&D last time out, strong traveller but weal finishes of late; usually held up; good jockey booked; place claims at this price!
1445 Wetherby – Old Gregorian 3/1
Travelled well when won handicap at Kelso by 4 lengths last time out; overall profile a bit patchy but not out of it; watch market for clues.
Richard LevettModeratorNo luck yesterday with our NAP pulling up!
NAP of the day
1235 Cheltenham – My Noble Lord 10/3
Won a juvenile hurdle at Chepstow by 2 lengths last time out overcoming greenness; has won 4 of last 5 flat starts; much more to come; big chance.
Richard LevettModeratorPoor run from our NAP yesterday!
NAP of the day
1258 Southwell – Lady Gwen 85/40
Well treated at the weights; beaten 3 1/2 lengths at Exeter last time out; back down in trip today; bold jumper who could be hard to peg back!
Richard LevettModeratorFriday’s EYECATCHER
1245 Newcastle – Jeteye 11/4
Back to form when beaten 2nd by 7 1/2 lengths in a handicap hurdle over C&D last time out. Place claims!
Richard LevettModeratorSo one EYECATCHER yesterday hit the mark (Doom 11/4 @ Lingfield)
Thursday’s EYECATCHER
1405 Market Rasen – Kankin 4/1
Made numerous errors before flying home on reappearance. If he sorts his jumping out can win this today!
Richard LevettModeratorNAP of the day
1800 Chelmsford – Arctic Dawn 11/4
Ran to form 4 lengths third in handicap at Doncaster last time out; should come on for that; unexposed; should go well; big chance!
Richard LevettModeratorWednesday’s EYECATCHERS
1225 Bangor – Champagnesuperover 22/1
Probably needed the race when fourth by 16 lengths in a handicap chase over 2m at Newton Abbot last time out; longer trip and better ground should help; very well treated on old form; interesting at a price; place contender!
1440 Lingfield – Doom 11/4
Yard has won the last two runnings of this race; Prix Ceres winner last year; placed in Valiant this summer; below par first tim eon Polytrack; back up in trip today; off from a short break; leading contender.
1615 Dundalk – The Bear Trap 8/1
Didn’t get a clear run when beaten 6 1/4 lengths over 6f at Curragh last time out; steps back in trip today which is a plus; well treated on spring form; very interesting at a price/
1730 Southwell – Grey Salvo 3/1
Runner up beaten 2 1/2 lengths in maiden over C&D on only start; should progress for that; looks the pick on balance of form.
