    Hi Guys and Girls,
I’m leaving TPS and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the GREAT people on the Forum for all the support, tips, systems and and not forgetting the banter, Carl,Mike,Neil,Elizabeth,Larry,James,Trever,Stan and not forgetting Queen Jacqueline (perhaps you will pass on my best wishes to her Neil).
It has been a hell of a ride guys but I’M not a fan of recovery systems, and using the ratings the only way I can see IS using recovery methods. This is not dissing the ratings, Matt does a good job finding big priced winners (not everday) and who with their hand on their heart after 6 or 7 losers would back a 10/1+ shot to get their losses back.
Anyway I wish you all Good Luck and may you all prosper!!!

    Good-bye,

    Paul H.

    Hi Mike,
One of the reasons a lot of “outsiders” win at this time of the season is a lot of horses begin to “train off” and trainers run them to get there handicap mark down for next year, knowing they’ve had a long season, there still fit enough to run but there tired!!
Other horses might be hard to train or just hitting peak fitness or the trainers have finally understood how the horse should run its race. Thats when you get, how did that 20/1 horse win that race by 5 lengths, when the fav beat it by 20 lengths ealier in the season.
You just have to be very careful at this time of the season, 2YO races are a minefield for me lol.

    Hi Carl,
So going by your rules, you would be quite happy if I post the TPS ratings on another website for other punters to see for free ???
Just a question not looking for an aguement.

    Paul.

P.S I dont think Matt or Jason would be happy.

    Hi All,
Having read Matts “epilogue” early this morning I was going to write something, but decided to sleep on it, the conclutions I have come to are these:-
1, NO ratings, tipping service is perfect, they ALL have bad runs (some more than others) they have good runs (which they shout from the highest they can get).
2, Even given the best horse in the race (as a tip) it is no garantee that horse will win.
3, There is a miriad of reasons why a horse DOESN’T win a race ( ask any jockey, they have an excuse for every occastion) listen to a jockey after WINNING a race after a no-hoper wins, ” he pulled to hard last time” “the going was to soft/firm” “his jumping has improved since the last time”etc etc.
4, ALL things being equal, horses not getting in each others way, getting the breaks when they need them, jockeys and trainers 100% TRYING TO WIN (lol) Matts ratings would have an even higher win percentage BUT horse racing is not like that unfortunatly!!!
5, If you except all or even some of the above, carry on doing what you are doing, if your not happy go, If you dont excpt ANY of the above, you REALLY should ask yourself SHOULD I BE BETTING ON HORSES.

I’m sorry if I’ve upset any-one but thats how I see it.

    Richard,
Thank-you for your efforts this week, most impressive at least 50% placed, you have set Matt a good target to aim at or better!!
I hope you were on a good bonus for number of winners lol.

    Thanks again
    Paul H.

    Hi Jac,
Is the bank 100 pts or 1000pts, £10 is a 1000p, 1/100 of £500 is £5-00, just want to be correct, GREAT IDEA by the way, I have problems with not knowing which way to tackle the ratings, either the loss recovery is huge after a few losses, to end up winning a few quid or you would have to have a huge bank to cover the bad days. One day this strategy is good, next day it doesn’t work at all.

    Guy,
I see a lot of you are place betting, a word of warning, do not bet on Frankie Dettori to place, to my eyes he is only interested in wins and so if he CAN’T win he more or less stops trying and often drops back through the field even if its an odds on shot.Watch him yourself if you dont belive me, I’m only trying to save you a few sheckles.

The best name for a horse that I backed and won with was a lovely filly trained by Julie Cecil called MARY HINGE.
