BBOTD won very nicely yesterday by over 2 lengths and the HOT PICKS all won give Blue Chip was a non runner. So married up with the BBOTD, it proved a very nice Acca / Lucky 15 etc. Well done all those that were on and thank you for your kind emails. Its nice to be appreciated. We again had some good results yesterday. Remember this is a Rating Service and not a tipping service, so whilst I would like every selection to win, the idea is to use the ratings to pin point your selection in a particular race. I bleet on about making £20 a day and with these ratings, that is certainly achievable. The strength of the Ratings is evident that where the 1st rated is a non runner, often our 2nd rated runs into a place or wins - that was evident in the 4.10 at Catterick - Bosham was a non runner, so who pops up at 10/1 to win by 4 lengths? Yep, Llewellyn, our 2nd rated selection. Today looks a a tricky one for the Ratings. Please heed my warning. Do not, if you can help it, bet today. I dont like the look of the numbers and feel a poor results day could be in play. If you do bet, try DUTCHING both selections as most are worth consideration given the Rating figures. Sadly the going turned to Heavy over at Newbury and our BBOTD just didnt get home in the slop! Disappointing, but some decent results during the afternoon and again if you were planning to make £20 you should have made it with the very first race - Reflation winning at 5/2sp! £10 bet would have seen you comfortably home and hosed and feet up for the rest of the day. Another decent enough day - plenty of winners across the Card. The BBOTD won again in convincing fashion . Start of York and sadly the rain has come which puts at risk Golden Horn v's Gleneagles. Its doubtful either will run, but I guess decisions wont be made until after the 1st race is run. The Grey Gatsby at 12/1 could be a good EW shout in any event, given he is proven in soft?!

Another indifferent day but results were marginally better. BBOTD was a nice winner and little gold nuggets like Tapis Libre winning at 7/1 and we didnt have a bad day at Newbury or Newmarket. We are still getting some big priced winners with the 2nd rated which proves these shouldnt be overlooked when you are considering betting in that particular race. Dutching could be your friend and if you dont know what dutching is, go to oddschecker and they have a calculator on their site which helps you stake the right amount to secure the profit you seek.

Our "bad luck" continued yesterday - So many 1st and 2nd rated selections placed - and beaten less than a length! Adam Kirby fell off as the gates open on the aptly named "quite a story" and we continue to be running well without winning - though we still had a few good results if using the 2nd rated where the 1sr rated was a non runner. But we are still underperforming to the levels we've set ourselves, so whilst this mini bad luck run is with us, just reduce the stakes and get out of Dodge with a small profit is advisable.

Its also inclement weather and going can and will change so another reason to be watchful.

BBOTD won and we continue to secure winners across the board at all meetings. At Newton Abbot for example we had a 7/1 and 6/1 winner (1st rated) with Always Managing and Down Time. The 2 rated selections seem always in the frame and often are set to win when running inside the last furlong. We've been pipped quite a few times by less than a length. I know its frustrating, but the numbers stack up so perhaps whilst everything rebalances itself, small stakes and if you make your daily profit, stop. Even £20-£30 profit day is a good day. We can pile in when the pendulum swings back our way which on the face of it, wont be too far away.
Footnote: We still smashed up Speed Ratings yesterday! So its not all doom and gloom!

12th August -
We are going through a rather frustrating patch where the ratings are there or thereabouts, but just being pipped - or extremely well rated selections, simply running poorly. The RP Results comments are littered with comments about not running to their mark etc. Cant put my finger on it. I was up until 2.00am this morning re watching and re assessing the races over the past 3 days. Its surprising to watch our 1st rated selection for the most part be right up there within the final 1/2 furlong only to get run out of it late on. I think we just have to ride out the mini slump and get ready to catch the good wave. We certainly have more good than bad days, so its not too disconcerting presently, but I am keeping an eye on things as you'd expect!

A tad frustrating yesterday. We had lots of 2nd rated winners and the 1st rated finishing 2nd or 3rd. Tone was set when the 1/3 shot in the first race was turned over and the winner was our 2nd rated!! Overall though, a poor days racing and in some regards, the results reflected that.
