Larry, I’ve often played BBOTD just as a win bet but I think this is not profitable due to the frequently low odds, basically it’s not a value bet. It may be more suited to SAW with increasing stakes but as someone has already said, perhaps better to lay it! Bit of an insult to Matt though!

Question for Matt – do the ratings take into account the draw? It’s particularly relevant at Chester of course.

For a longshot I’m liking Ice Royal in the 8.15 at Chelm.
He doesn’t win very often but is usually thereabouts, his last 2 runs not so good but have been in higher class and further than his usual mile so he’s back in familiar territory today.
Worth a small each-way go I think, currently 18 on Betfair.
