More rain about today and some more expected at Ascot, so tread carefully. We’ve picked up 9 winners from 12 races at Ascot from 2 days, and whilst I hope our run continues, please stick to a disciplined approach and stop when target achieved!

IMPORTANT MESSAGE:

I have just received an email from a new member expressing his annoyance and dissatisfation with the email sent out by Jason earlier today regarding yesterdays Ascot results.

Please be advised that in the preamble for Ascot and its there today I expressly make it clear that due to size of field and likely odds that it is advisable to dutch or bet level stakes on all the selections. Given the SP (bigger prices were avaiable) that is what all should have done rather than concentrate on the 1st rated.

Therefore, can I ask all members, new and old to read and heed the advise given rather than shoot an email to me with abusive overtones due to an inability to take in basis instructions. I even went as far yesterday to suggest a watching brief. I can do no more than offer you my own personal view / opinion / strategy on how to approach the ratings and in this context, Ascot. In the 5.00 today there are 30 declared runners.

I hope this assists those that ignore preambles but then again, those that missed that are unlikely to read this either!

Bet smarter! Bet wealthier and for goodness sake STOP when you’ve reached your daily profit target.

Remember – PLace Bet, Dutch, level stake bet……so many options and if applied you will make money from these ratings.

Good start to Ascot with 4 winners and only a master class from Dettori (showing Ryan Moore he still has a few tricks up his cuff) robbed us of 5 winners. Galileo Gold proving it could handle soft ground with Dettori stealing a march on his rivals – Both The Gurkha and Awtaad were given far too much to do – Well played Frankie!!

Still riding soft at Ascot, and the 5.00 is a 30 runnner free for all, so be watchful and be mindful. STOP when target reached!

Sadly, Egypt Mill Rebel went “wrong” so was pulled up. Doesnt necessarily mean he will be put down, but can be the case.

Two races down at Ascot and we’ve had a winner in each. Anyone playing I hope has stopped now…..?

Soft going now at Ascot is a nightmare for us Ratings freaks / profilers so caution advised today. Looks a cracking day with 3 Group 1 races. Its a shame the weather forgot to read the script.

Good morning!
Ratings now posted – time 10.45am

Thanks to Richard and Chris and all other contributors who kept the fires burning whilst I was away! Todays racing looks tricky and Carlise is already victim to several notable non runners. Doesnt look like a day to get overly involved and caution is advised. I would NOT be playing the 90 min strategy today and suggest those that follow it, suspend it today – only 2 afternoon meetings and Carlise’s going is changeable. You have been WARNED!
