Damn!
Just been reminded that Hospital Visitor is coming round at 2pm so may have to amend my selections on all fronts.
Why can’t these people get up earlier and visit at 6.30am??????????Ian BassMemberMy place selections today are at Ayr (principal meeting)
1.30 Hushood for 3 places @ 1.81 stake £7.90 to win my target of £6.04 after commission
The following races, my selections are :
2.00 Father Bertie for 4 places
2.35 Steal The Scene for 4 places
3.05 Jaykay for 4 places
3.40 Rocktherunway for 3 places
4.15 Sirens Cove for 4 places
4.50 Malificent Queen for 3 places
5.20 Go Go Green for 5 places.
I always use the principal meeting as I feel the better horses will normally get the ratings and the places at least (at least we know they will all be TRYING).
But why not use this system in conjunction with the 60/90 system or any other selection process you would normally followIan BassMemberHi, Robert and James
Here is my recent posting, which is under ‘Place’ betting showing signs which you will find under forum below successful strategies et al. If you want to see Johnnye’s original entry it is under Strategies along the top bar. You may have to go back a few pages as it was posted on 19th July 2013! There yo will find the staking calculations and the full strategy.
My recent posting :Ian Bass
ParticipantHi,
I am backing place only using Matt’s Ratings.
I found an entry under ‘strategies’ dated July 19th 2013 from Johnnye Bravo.
I only looked at it because it was my birthday!
I use the principal meeting of the day as specified in Daily Mail.
I take all races at the meeting in turn and follow the rules set out. selecting rated horse with place price nearest to lowest stated using as many extra places as I can get.
The staking takes a little working out until you get used to it, but I have found it a very profitable system, so far.
I started on 18 Aug with bank of £120 to accommodate a £3 point value (2.5% of bank).
In 17 days, I have not had a losing day, bank now £188+
25 bets, only 8 losers (one refused to race!).
Check it out, it looks complicated at first glance but 50% profit in 17 days ain’t shabby!Ian BassMemberRe; My posting under “Place betting shows signs..”
I started following Johhnye Bravo strategy on 18th August, just for small stakes (£120 bank).
He suggested that bank would double every month.
Yesterday (14th Sep) my bank crossed the ‘double’ barrier and now stands @ £241.56
Doubled in just 24 betting days.
If continuing at this rate equals over a million pounds in just 1 year!!!
Awesome, eh?
Sounds like Del Boy from Only Fools and Horses. We shall see!!!!!
Ian BassMemberBit of speculating on US election today.
Backed HC @ 1.6 (drifted from 1.32 following scare) and layed Trump @ 3.35 (down from 5.0)
When she recovers and prices return to previous I shall reverse bets for nice little profit.
I never get involved in politics in any way whatsoever but thought I might add to my kitty just this once.Ian BassMemberOops! meant as I do Racing!!
Ian BassMemberKhalida and Rosie Royale make today a good day.
Races close together so did both in advance as unable to keep up with timings.
Glad I did, too 4.2 followed by 11.61!
Wish I understood Football as well as I do football.
Can’t seem to get any of it right.
But as ancient guru once said to me “Boy, (I was once!), never back anything with less than four legs – in sport or in life generally – can’t be trusted!”Ian BassMemberYou will find the bet under “specials”
I had to search for itIan BassMemberBet number 1 in new 10-bet acca:
£20 Wolves to win either half @ 1.5
Good luck if you are followingIan BassMemberThanks for your lists, Roger
A great help!Ian BassMemberSame price Luton (top) home to Grimsby (14th)
Early days, not taking any chances!!Ian BassMemberCongratulations to Matt and wife and many thanks to Richard for his assistance
Well done, all!!
Ian BassMemberExcellent ‘silly’ footy bet last night:
Latvia, Sweden BTTS, Belgium -1.5, AFC Fylde BTTS, Harrogate Town over 2.5 goals, Salford City BTTS.
Just did 25p Trebles, 4-folds and acca.
Cost £9.00, Return £72.81
Not a bad evenings work!
As usual, I don’t check footy results until morning, far too late for me to be up!!Ian BassMemberIniciar has made me feel a bit happier.
Some of yesterday’s loss replacedIan BassMemberJoining the ‘Don’t like Mondays’ club!
On top of poor Racing results, Wealdstone match let me down as well.
Fortunately, if that is the right word, I cashed out at 60 minutes and saved £50 of my stake.
The £20 10-bet acca did not actually cost me anything as I had ‘back-pocketed’ over £40 before yesterdays game and my winnings were still just under £400.
So nett gain after £150 lost yesterday was around £290.Definitely worth trying another on when the selections come up.
