Perfectly happy with current format, but ratings of first two would be helpful
Ian BassMemberSorry for delay in posting but had a bad couple of days, healthwise.
Another good day on Saturday with Riviera Nights winning and Secret Art losing after Finniston Farm won.
Bit hairy trying to get my lays back on target, but one must keep the faith!
Also 3 of my 4 Cambridgeshire bets obliged with Mordin finishing second and paying out on my first 6 and my first 10 bets and Danceteria finishing 9th to pay out my first 10 betAll in all a pretty good week, showing a profit of over £140.
I shall be late starting this week but will try to post tomorrow morning.
Ian BassMemberAnother successful day yesterday with Crimson Skies losing and Nuits St George winning at a good price.
Today, I have struggled with finding my selections but have come up with these:
I shall be laying Finniston Farm (Haydock 17.00) and Secret Art (Chelmsford 18.45)
I shall be backing Riviera Nights (Ripon 14.30) and Elkstone (Market Rasen 14.50)
Both as usual SAW and to win £10.00I have also backed Mordin and Danceteria in the Cambridgeshire
Both to finish in the first 6 AND in the first 10. Just a lottery, really. So just for ‘play’ stakes
Good luck all
Ian BassMemberMy 2 Lays today will be:
Crimson Skies (Haydock 14.05) and Rosie McQueen (Worcester 15.25) to win £10.00 Stop At Winner
My 2 Backs today will be:
Nuits St George (Haydock 13.35) and She Can Boogie (Haydock 15.50) to win £10.00 Stop At WinnerThat will be all I shall bet today. Results tomorrow (if I remember!)
Yesterday I laid Drill @ 3.5 for £11 stake, profit £10.45 after commission
and backed Indomitable @ 4.33 for £3.50 stake (Lost) and Creadan Grae @ 4.50 for £4.00 stake, profit £13.50 (no commission), total £10.00 profitThat was my daily £20 achieved for very little outlay in time or money. A happy old man!
Ian BassMemberHi, all
It’s good to be back after almost a year of hospitals and operations.
Despite Matt’s warnings on Saturday, I made a profit on both of Jason’s Strategies
AND I tried the Timeform TV Offer, which was a tip in 7 of the 8 televised races for just £5 with a refund offer if no profit made.
To £10 stakes, I made a profit of virtually £150 (£149.67, if you want to be exact!).
Needless to say, I didn’t ask for my refund.
Hope they repeat the offer next time racing is televised!Keep smiling! It really
-
is
the best strategy!
Ian
Ian BassMemberGood Luck Elisabeth.
Hope we will see you again sometime soonIan BassMember(Almost) following Matt’s advice yesterday, I decided (just for one day) to back each rating separately until winner in each of four categories.
I started 4 spreadsheets
First Rated to win at better than 3.00
First Rated to place at between 1.60 and 3.50
Second Rated to win at better than 3.00
Second Rated to place at between 1.60 and 3.50
All on SAW basis, using my ‘stepped staking’ plan to £2 basic, increasing by £1 after loser.
A lot of preparation, but I had a bit of time am
Results
1. First To Win – 4 losers, then Rio Ronaldo @3.75 Profit £1.68
2. First To Place – No losers Mukhayyam @ 2.22 Profit £2.32
3. Second To Win – 2 losers, then Grams And Ounces @ 5.29 Profit £11.30
4. Second To Place – 2 losers, then Grams And Ounces @ 1.72 Loss £2.26
Overall a profit of around £13 and finished well in time to attend the Garden Party in our Sheltered Housing Grounds (Spent more than I had just won!)
Just MIGHT try same again tomorrow. No betting today – waiting for pick-up to visit family
Have fun!Ian BassMemberFollowing your super Heinz today Robert
Good Luck to us!Ian BassMemberMe too, Carl.
Backed ‘No Overall Majority’ as soon as election was called and just had £10 @ 9.00.
Almost hedged it a few days ago but decided to stick to my original views and picked up pleasant £80.
Boooooooomm, I think is the current expressionIan BassMemberDean
Any room for an oldie?
sandygooner@gmail.comIan BassMemberObviously down to the time of placing bets.
I cannot afford to be on computer all day and have to place bets at times I can spare a few moments.
Anyway, not to worry. I shall try for a few more days – perhaps even get to 500 bets.
But it is not appealing at the momentIan BassMemberSorry, it was Chris who recommended including 3rd rated
Ian BassMemberChris
By Course
Doncaster 2 Epsom 7 Hexham 5 Lingfield 4 Musselburgh 3 Navan 6 Newcastle 7 Tramore 5 Worcester 6
In my book that makes 45
Carl says include Irish, Michael says include 3rd rated
Which is what I didIan BassMemberGood Luck in whatever you do, Robert
Horse Racing provides me with a diversion from domestic troubles and if I can turn a small profit so much the better.
I, like Elisabeth, have appreciated your other sports entries and follow when I can get to computer.
I am able to spend longer this morning as we have a carer in for the next few minutes to service my wife’s personal needs.
I enjoy this forum for its interesting members. Quite the best I have been involved in.Ian BassMemberRichard
I have been playing for jus £1 ew stakes and already over £68 down after 145 selections
That means that, after 500 selections, my £200 bank will have completely disappeared.
I know that I have only trialled the system for one week but there has never been even one winning day or even close to it.
