LARRY DITCHBURNParticipant
Hi fella’s also just to remember, when I am in the process of placing my stake onto my 2nd,3rd or 4th selection,if betfair shows that the returns would not show a profit if it won [no matter how small] I simply don’t press confirm, then cancel and wait for the next non handicap.I simply don’t now why but the first non handicap rating of the day seems to score on many occasions. If anyone cannot sit in front of a screen all day then they could do worse than simply backing the first non handicap rating of the day over a series of 4 days,BOG,with the same no profit no bet rule and at least with an early price .
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantWinner 5/2 job done for today profit made. Thanks Matt.
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantI do personally think that Matt’s ratings are the best I’ve come across in all my years of betting mainly because they clearly give a top and second rated selection. The other big name I used to use was Timeform ratings, now they are expensive, and the major flaw with Timeform was their little symbols such as P and + etc only served to confuse along with their race comments which made you wonder why they had ratings at all because a lot of the times they claimed that their comments had pointed you towards the winner when in fact it would have not been in the top 4 rated ? As excellent as the Timeform organisation is it’s muddling.TPS ratings are clear and concise and Matt has already taken the other factors into consideration for us.Overall the quality of TPS ratings I think are very good,it’s just how we use them.Steady profits can certainly be made here. Please forgive me for rambling on .
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantI feel that the phrase that suits me is “be strict with yourself” .Take today for example,I made my money on the very first race and then stopped. If you want to place lots of bets throughout the day then personally I believe in general you cannot win.Using the ratings on the non handicaps I have collected profit on 29 0f the last 31 days.Sometimes I’ve jiggled my stakes away from the double up method and gone a race beyond my rule of using the first 4 non handicaps of the day,but holding my belief last week got a 15/2 winner on the 4th selection, massive boost to the bank. When placing a bet,as long as the winnings would show any profit on the day,I will place it and then if a winner stop, even if its only a quid .If placing the bet would show me a loss on the day, then I will ignore it and wait for the next selection.I’ve been punting for over 45 years and I think for me this is my only way to go.It’s hard to follow if you like to bet but I think it’s either betting for profit or betting for fun,we’re all different. What ever you do of course you have to cover the subscription costs,or whats the point?
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantI’ve got everything crossed Matt,as Del said “He who dares, wins!”
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantHooray! the Nap service selection hosed up at recc 15/8,which was just right for me as I was away all day till late and could only manage to place this one bet today so plunged all my betting cash on today.Thank you Matt, this must be the start of a long winning run perhaps?
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantSo sorry Elisabeth,it’s taken a huge percentage of your bank and all the fun out too.See what you can do to rebuild with your football wagers, the new season starts soon.Good luck with them.
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantTo be honest Carl ,I’ve thought of doing this but you know that sod’s law applies here, and a long WINNING run are over due on both.Where are the painkillers !!!!!
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantThat’s right Carl,me neither, you can only go on the facts in this game,as you can see from my other post, the Nap service is going through an even worse time and has been doing for months, and I feel bad talking about it but when lots of good money is going west every week its frustrating.
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantI’m sad to hear that you can’t switch your credits to another TPS service at least, because it’s not crying foul because of a few losers,it’s the fact that the losing run has been appalling considering the point of this nap service and it’s claims.I know that it is very fair to offer free selections till things pick up however its the large total of cash lost chasing the elusive winners and recovering amounts that I feel now are lost forever.I feel like calling it a day and just giving up on my credits and vast amount already lost and not even checking to see if there is a selection anymore.Have you stopped looking or backing them Elisabeth?
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantTotally agree Carl, and as I could’nt do without the ratings anyway ,it feels like the BBOTD selection is free !! Good lay service for nothing eh?
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantHave you heard back about the Nap service yet Elisabeth? The results are still not online.
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantI know what you mean Trevor because I am exactly the same with the Nap service,I continue to use it because I have 19 prepaid credits left to use but also I still bet heavily on it trying to recoup very large losses to date.I no longer use BBOTD as as win bet,but I am thinking that there must be a decent lay system lurking around it somewhere.Chin up.
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantWell done Trevor,Me too,job done for me for today.
LARRY DITCHBURNParticipantForgive me Richard it was 4/1 !!!!
