I think that’s why I personally don’t do the recovery,and as I hinted in my selections post actually halved my units today .

BBOTD finished last but because of the price,I decided to back the top rated on my own handicap ratings Bonobo and managed to get an early 6/1 so not a total loss day.I still think it would be a bit rude to back the BBOTD as a daily lay bet though,what do others think?

Pleased that a few had some nice results today,taking the bookies money is what it’s all about after all.I had another poor method day,sorry if you followed,but I know it will come right again soon.My view on Johnson at the moment has hardened,don’t know what’s going on there,wonder if he will finally win the last,but the last 8 favourites that I have backed with him aboard has resulted in 7 losers.The only way is up and looking forward to the St Leger festival this week.

We seem to be in a time of poor quality racing at the moment but my local course Doncaster,3 miles down the road,hosts the St Leger festival this week so quality will return.Very best of luck for today as always.

Well I feel terrible about the results today Stan,I also checked my method selections against my own ratings that I have been doing but not posting for 20 odd years and they also would not have brought us a win today. As I mentioned to Carl this morning it did feel like a tricky day because of the ground and in between sort of racing and that’s about all I got right today. It’s not all about a couple of days however but it’s worth thinking about the amount of rain that is forecast for this week when deciding on your unit stakes. Back tomorrow.

Some odd results today,got to be down to the ground surely.Does anyone else think that Richard Johnson is turning into the dreaded Jamie Spencer of the jumps world?.Well off the boil for quite some time now.Just my opinion.
