Thanks to Richard L for yesterday’s post on first race results. Noticed that Southwell in January produced a winner from 1st or 2nd rated each time but one. Pretty good record, and we’re there again today so I might double up on usual stakes.

To be fair, Carl, I don’t look at the odds till I’ve chosen my selections. I’m always looking for a nag which has the past form to get placed. If they win, then it’s a bonus.
Big odds can mean a better cash out offer if one or two win. Cashed out a couple of months ago for £782 with a dodgy 16/1 left to run. Did a £40 e/w single on the last just in case, and obviously it won ! If I’d left the yankee it would have paid over £6400. Collected around £1500 overall, but goes to show that big prices do come in !

Robert, the footie result at Leicester was 1-1 as far as the bookies are concerned as they only take score bets at ninety minutes. I honestly thought Derby would have taken advantage of a weakened Leicester side within normal time. To be honest, they looked the hungriest side for most of the game. Still, you can’t win them all !

Just can’t seem to get a return these days. Did a double on BTTS with a win at Coventry and Barca last night. Barca just couldn’t win. Must try harder !

Did over 8 corners at Hull and Athletic Madrid. Both came in, but added a few teams to win and one horse. Everything came up…..except Rangers. Would have been a nice return.
