Trainer says he was rough round the edges on debut. He’s learnt a lot from that and has raced well with other winners from the yard. Only concern is the wide draw today but has a strong chance.

3.50 SALISBURY SERENADA 7/1 ew
River varian is adamant that she is a nice filly and she’s well handicapped. He has tried her over further but has dropped her back to what he says is her best trip. She was a 3length 3rd to shutter speed and vintage folly in may. Varian says she has a bit to find with coconut creme but if she’s going to run in a group 1 that’s she entered for she’ll have to put up a challenge.

Working well at home. Trainer says just about sets the standard as she’s raced in some good races. Won on the poly track other only start. Drops back in trip but been told providing she doesn’t get swept off her feet she’ll have a good chance.
