Thanks for the information and explaining that the service is run on a semi-professional basis not a full time professional service. I guess what you are saying is the service is almost totally dependant up on you with ‘volunteer’ back up from Richard and as a result lacks 100% backup. However offsetting those obvious limitations is a low price and dependable data. If members want more backup then prices will need to go up. I don’t know what the income is from the overall membership numbers but if you are saying it only just covers the service on a semi-professional basis, then we accept it on that basis.

I’s suggest putting something on the site to outline the position and basis of membership would be a good idea. Members then know the facts and what to expect from the service and join / maintain membership on that basis.

Let me be clear, I value the service and the efforts put in to it by you and Richard, including weather forcast and warnings. I asked for an explanation, got it and accept it. Thanks

I too think the ratings are of a high quality in terms of predictions and I for one am not knocking them. That said on a busy Saturday with a high volume of meetings to look in to, getting the ratings an hour or so before racing starts is far too late. There have been reasons given why 5 of the last 9 weeks have been late. However posted the night before gives time for the unforseen to be dealt with and ratings still be issued well before the 1st race. Just prudent planning that the professional businesses do.

It is not unreasonable with a paid service to ask that they get issued the evening before and I am asking the question why cannot that be done? I am sure other members would want to have them earlier too.

I too hope all is well with Richard. His knowledge, work, forsight in to the Irish horse racing is 2nd to none and his ratings are valued.

Can you please respond to a reasonable request. A failure to produce ratings on a Sat 55% of the last 9 weeks says much. Why cannot the ratings be posted on a Friday evening please to give everyone the opportubity to look at them in good time? I am not trying to be difficult, rather constructuve. The PROFESSIONAL syndicate nees to be that please.

There is a need to find a solution to getting Saturday’s rating out so we have time to look at them on what is mainly the busiest race day of the week. To me the answer is post them Friday evening. For a variety of reasons ref Sat ratings for the last nine weekends the ratings were late on 1st, 15th and 29th June and 13th and 27th July. Problems do arise so can’t it be planned to post on FRIDAY EVENING/ For many with work Mon to Fri Sat/Sun is the few times to have the day to spend on racing. Please look in to Fri postings. This is a request and I am sure others would appreciate the earlier postings too. THANKS

Matt, Thanks for the ratings posted Sunday 10.37pm. As I asked on the 18th, can we please have similar on the busy Saturday racedays? It makes a great help to get them long before 1 hour before 1st race as on Saturday. This is not a moan or complaint about the service/tips, which I like, but a suggestion to improve things for members. Thanks.

Thanks for the info Richard. I for one and I am sure other too would like Matt to look at psoting Sat ratings the evening before. It avoids ‘technical issue’ on what generally is the busiest race day of the week. I would like the issue of posting the evening before looked in to and members advised if it is not possiblew to do, why that is the case please. For me, today’s late postings make it a wasted race day as I like time to consider and look in to placing my bets etc. So a no bet day for me

I too have been in a while and appreciate the service provided and the extra work done by Richard [thanks Richard]

As a suggestion lets park this until Matt is back and let him address the genuine issues this raises. It is a paid for service and should provide the ratings on race days no matter what. Exactly what is included needs to be formally set out so ALL members, new and old, know what is what. So if Matt is on holiday, sick, work commitments etc then a FORMAL backup process is needed. To me it sounds like the set up has progressed from the original concept and is at the stage beyond cover being supplied as a ‘favour’ by Richard and a more ‘professional’ form of cover is needed to avoid misundersatnding. Matt to do a formal charter that defines exactly what is paid for.

I value the Irish ratings and the work done by Richard. That aspect is much appreciated. It may be time to include it formally in to the service {if that is Richard’s wish to do so] and reward everyone for the work, effort etc that is provided by those involved in ALL the ratings given.
Please don’t spoil the great set up we have as I do appreciate what it gives us and thank you all for the effort input to do that.

Problem with Ripon post. Your 8.00 is the 8.30 race and your 8.30 is the 9.00. What is the true 8.00 post please?
