It was a good year for me this time around. Backed some of the obvious ones in a profitable ACCA. Captain Guiness was a great success as I had him anti post at very good odds. However the best bit for me was on Thursday when I was there to see my lovelly grey horse, Straw Fan Jack, shoot up that hill and nearly get to Shakem Up’Arry but as I had him at 50/1 it was still a great bet. If you missed it wast the closing stages on RacingPost. Still think he looks likely to get him!

I’m not a big better but finished £1,050 up on the week, GREAT!!

Thanks for your response, appreciated. Not only did support not pass on my comments there was NO REPLY to my query at all. So if there is a support system and you are paying someone to supply that support they ain’t doing their job and you do need to tell them and as you say things xan and should be improved. This is a great system, pity to spoil it by poor service on the support side

One of my horses, Balzac [Zac], runs in the 7pm, 0 to 100 handicap at Uttoxeter on Tues. He won well in a 0 to 110 @ Ffos Las 16th June but was noticed by the handicapper, up 9 to OR of 90, so this time he carries 16 pounds more @ 11st 4lb. Still has a good chance as he has been great on the gallops this past week.

He can be keen but Sean Houlihan knows him well. I am hoping Fleursals, along with Culture will set a good pace so Zac settles. African Sun also likes to be up with the pace. I see Leopolds Rock and Hats Off To Larry as main dangers, as they race off the pace, come late and if Balzac goes off too keen, fights Sean, he may get caught late on. However if Sean is able to settle him, Zac has a good chance. 14 run so e/w if odds permit.

Just my thoughts on the race but it is a horse race so nothing guaranteed.

    Matt,
Richard was good enough to give members notice of his holiday absence yesterday. So I did a query via the support link asking if you were to cover the UK races, in the same way Richard covers for your absences. No response so far.

Can you let members know if you are and if not why not? A paid service needs a backup plan to cover absences.
    Thanks

I’m going to Newbury today to see my horse Straw Fan Jack run in the 3.05. He has been going well at home and should like the ground. The bookies don’t fancy him.probably because of the weight he carries against two light weighted horses. Black Poppy beat him by a short head, course and distance afew weeks ago but Jack gave him 15 pounds. This time it’s just the 14lb. Irish Hill has no weight either but Jack is a big strong horse and I think he can carry his 11st 12lb. Betfred offering 3 places at 11/2 which I have taken advantage of.

Good luck going forward. Hope you show those bookies a thing or two.

Going to Ascot tomorrow, good card. My horse Straw Fan Jack runs in the 3.00pm hurdle. The distance is fine for him but much will depend on the ground conditions. He is Ok on soft but hates heavy, so I am hoping for not too much rain tonight/tomorrow. If that happens he has an e/w chance at around 18/1.

I’m at Aintree where, as you say, some great races. My boy Straw Fan Jack runs in the last. I think he is a bit overpreiced at the current 14/1 but I guess we shall see. He can loose concentration, which cost him in the Greatwood, but I am hoping Adian Coleman will keep his mind on the job and if he does Jack is capable of a good run.

Exciting raceday for me on Sunday. My boy Straw Fan Jack runs in the 2.55pm Greatwood hurdle at Cheltenham. With a 20 strong field lady luck may play a part in the race but hopefully Jack gets his fair share. If he can repeat his run of 3 weeks ago over a similar distance/track, ridden by the same jockey, he will outrun his 22/1 odds

Off to Cheltenham today as my horse Straw Fan Jack runs in the 1st race. He’s top weight but has trained well in the last two weeks. Sheila’s horses tend to need a run when 1st time up but with the likes of Beftfair and Paddy offering 5 places at 15/1 I’ve backed him e/w. For me having a runner at Cheltenham is like Christmas has come early!

I know the problem is being worked on but surely the information can be posted manually to the site. Racing starts in 90 minutes. Use old school manual posting as a backup!
