PippinParticipant
Jacqueline so sorry I’ve just learnt of the loss of your cat. Hope you’re ok.
Don’t worry re race-it’s just hit 4.0 on the second rated
PippinParticipantJacqueline have you managed to get 4.0 plus on this next race 4pm?
PippinParticipantRoger, that’s a great idea and thank you for doing that. It’d be great if you could post results.
In fact, to you, Jacqueline, Elizabeth, Richard, shall we set up a Imdividual System Redults page so these can be posted there to avoid clogging up the normal forum?? Just an idea?
PippinParticipantDon & Roger, I am pleased to see that the post was I’d use and I hope it bought you success.
If anyone was adopting my 60/90 min ew system today a further 10% profit should have been acquired.
The only thing I should have added and I’ll fine tune this on the successful strategies page, is that if a horse is placed, I retain the same stake for the next race. If it loses you go up a point (as stated) and if you have a winner, drop to your first stake.
Today was a classic example of where I try and make a calculated call on the 60/90 min 1st rated system. At 60 mins I was circs £75 down, but liked the racing to 90 mins and stuck with achieving a £5 profit before stopping. Remember, a profits a profit and is certainly better than a loss and there’s always another day!
PippinParticipantHi Elizabeth just to give you some peace of mind. I’m monitoring the empoli match. 4 shots on target one off bodes well for the home team so early on so I may see what odds I can get now.
PippinParticipantI’ve just researched this game for you briefly using the sites I use for footy. It’s so early in the season and this is a clash of the bottom two. Empoli haven’t scored. Crotone once. The data is limited. Personally, I’d stay away from it if it was me.
PippinParticipantHi Don Ford apologies for the delay. So using Sunday as the example, and adopting the 4 systems I use, 60/90 min 1st rated, me 60/90 min 1st rated ew, 4/1 plus and JMAC in order:
1.45 Qatar Man -10 lost -10
1.55 Subjective -20 lost -30
2.05 Secret Fact -30 won 150-60=90 profit-stopHad this lost I would have bet 40 on the next. Had that lost I would’ve dropped to 10 on the 5th to minimise losses and had that lost I would have stopped for the day. Had it won then I’d adopt the above playing to 60 mins then stopped whatever the profit/loss. Discipline. Through experience, if I like the next 30 mins racing I MAY play on to 90, but this is rare.
My ew system has been a real winner for me as Matt’s and Richard’s first rated are rarely unplaced. I stake 2% of my bank ew, aiming to make a 1.5% daily profit. If a horse is unplaced I increase by 1 point as per the above, stopping at 60/90 mins. That said my daily profit has way way exceeded that target of late due to odds, places, winners etc and taking today as an example, two unplaced 1st rated, followed by a tasty 5.0 winner at treble points ew meant a 10% or so return.
NB if there’s a big meeting and 3 horses are put up, I tend to Dutch ew the ratings where they are high odds, but if there’s a low odds first rated and only two runners put up, I stick with the 1st rated.
I do tend to push onto to 90 if I’m close to my target, but be warned until you get acquainted with this and I may review the use of this system as the weather turns and monitor results.
4/1 plus, again taking Sunday
1.45 Thaaqib 5.5 lost -10
2.20 Biologist 6.0 lost -20
2.40 Kleitomachas 6.0 lost -30
3 Part Nights 11.0 won 410
With this system you stake on 4/1 or 5.0 plus and stop after the 7th loser so set your points and bank accordingly. This is all on the successful strategies page, but hope that helps and brings you success no matter how you decide to play. Sorry everyone for taking up so much space. We are after all a community and we want to help each other succeed and smash those bookies!!?
PippinParticipantHi Chris thanks for those offerings. Is there any replacement bet for Dawnieriver as now a NR? Casein Piper or roll on to the next one?
PippinParticipantRichard Levett – what A man!! He’s only done it again for my 60/90 1st rated and ew system. That’s me done!!
PippinParticipantWow wow wow, some of these footy results across Europe. Crazy start!
PippinParticipantAhhh gotcha Jacqueline-I’m using normal Betfair ie NOT the exchange. Are you using the exchange?
Out of interest do you or anyone else know a means of setting up bets in advance on the Internet, not via the high street booky, so you can plan all of your races in advance, place that bets at 4.0 or above, but stop if hitting the 4 points target?
Cheers p
PippinParticipantJacqueline im confused.com. Which booky did you use today? I was on betfair and some time before the off Khalidi dropped from 4 to 3.5 and went out at 3.5. Were you using a different one or is your rule that if it hits 4.0 that’s good enough for you and you bet?
At present I’m trying to follow when you stop so I do t inadvertently carry on but this has confused me somewhat.?
PippinParticipantJacqueline are you betting on the next at Doncaster?
PippinParticipantAll I’ll say everyone, is praise the Lord for Richard Levett. You’re a genius pal! That’s me done on the 60/90 min system
PippinParticipantSo grateful you posted that Jacqueline. I’m using william hill and having stakes in both horses, won at 5.5 so points up, so I will follow your confirmations whenever you are able.
Not sure if you can check your stats but interestingly yesterday in every race where both horses were under 4.0, there was a winner, 1st rated twice and 2nd once. I’d be interested to know if this is fairly common as could be a further option to Dutch level stakes when this arises???
