PippinParticipant
Well after Fridays 60% odd strike rate and some good priced winners. I thought I’d give this a go again today with the place selections. This is separate to the system but can be used in a similar manner with either SAW recovery, SAW 3 wins recovery etc. Where odds are favourable I’d also look for the extra place given recent stats (see below)

250 Derulo
520 Couer De Beauchene

PippinParticipantYou’re welcome. I can’t wait for the tutorial on how to set that up lol. How do you propose to upload Matts ratings and set those parameters?
Am I correct in saying though that you do the 100 in running on the 9+ in all aw handicaps and handicap hurdles? Or do you do it on the 7 and under one too?
PippinParticipantAwesome JMAC, well done. How do you determine which races you’re going to go for 100 in running? I remember you saying on the up to 7 runners 1-5 10, 5-10 20 and 10+ 50 but is this a new system I’ve missed??? Cheers Pippin
PippinParticipantGood evening Michael. So here goes.
Please forgive me if I have possibly got 1 or 2 wrong. I don’t think so but it’s been a long day with the family at the beach.
I recorded 147 races in total.
35 actually won – 23.81%
44 placed – 29.93%
79 win/place – 53.74%
Please note that I use standard place betting, however, some more prudently go for the additional place where the odds allow. Now this is where it gets interesting and I’m glad you’ve raised this query. Please appreciate that I’m basing this on conjecture and experience of the fact that generally where the place odds are 2.0 plus on one of selections, the additional place odds will normally be around 1.6 plus thereby bringing the selection into our criteria. If anyone has more factual evidence on this, please feel free to share it.
However, if I am correct, then I guesstimate that of the losing races, we could probably have picked up a maximum of another 22 place winners. To reach this conclusion I have looked at how many selections finished 3-7 and 4-8 plus where the place odds were 2.0 (which there are, and some, in most instances) plus.
Anyone who is interested in improving this strategy generally or for bot purposes, please post your thoughts and together we can hopefully find something even more successful which perhaps does not involve SAW.
Cheers Pippin
PippinParticipantHi Matthew. Leave that thought with me. I’m off out with the family but I’ll do some data checking for you later and I’ll post on here.
Bizarrely when I checked a couple of weeks ago, our most successful field number for this system was in races of 7 horses. Strange bearing in mind you only get the 2 places!!
PippinParticipantOh over 9s then please. People have been talking about an over 7s???
PippinParticipantHi Carl do you happen to know how JMacs 7.9 plus system works?
PippinParticipantHi Graham. If I could refer you to the criteria at the beginning of this thread. If the first rated is below 1.6 we move onto the second rated.so today it was Pot Committed in the 240 that came in. Sorry to hear if your misfortune. Good luck for tomorrow
PippinParticipantHi Matthew, since Jason asked me to maintain records for this back in January I haven’t recorded a losing day and in fact I haven’t had one since commencing it some 3/4 months beforehand. That’s not to say it won’t happen, but the great thing is that a substantial bet bank has been developed to sustain 4/5 plus losing days on the bounce now. It’s like any investment strategy it can go up and down but we bank in it increasing more than losing.
PippinParticipantHi and thanks for that Matthew. Yes you’re right Pot Committed romped in first in the 240 at Musselburgh to save the sweat patches getting any damper lol. 4th race winner.
Powerful dream should have been your first race winner yesterday in the 150 at Wolves for those following.
PippinParticipantPs I’m actually favouring stron pursuit to place in the first but no bet on as field too short for my liking
PippinParticipantSomething new I’ve been trialling with very good results so it’ll all go Pete Tong now?. These are to place so you can either run it as SAW, with recovery, or keep going. Sorry about some of the shorties but nb stans earlier post. There is some good value in quite a few of these though. Sorry no time to type out all names but you’ll work it out.

PippinParticipantHi Stan, apologies for the delay. This is great stuff and very encouraging. I’m also trying something and will post when have more data. Thanks for this and keep posting. Pippin
PippinParticipantThanks Graham.
Would you mind also emailing Matt/Jason to request if they can do anything on the site to place the ratings into that format as that may help. Cheers Pippin
PippinParticipantHi graham, I take it you’re using the bot for these bets? How do you upload them or program them into the bot as I have no idea how to do this? Cheers Pippin
