MemberRichard, re ante post Irish GN bet I placed (at the time were only 4 places so thats why odds (21) were so high I suppose)
Skybets answer—
The bet you placed was as an Ante Post bet and as such you receive better odds for the bet you placed and if the horse is a non runner, then you would not receive the bet stake back.
However, as a goodwill gesture, as you may not be aware of this issue. I have cancelled the bet for you and returned the stake to your account.
Well it was only a tenner—–they really have suffered giving that back to me ! ! !
Yes I had heard that rule somewhere before. Bookies GRRRRR they make fortunes greedy lot.Elisabeth
MemberI am really hoping Skybet refund that GN ante post runner, or have we lost out?

Irish Grand National. At Skybet look under Ante Post.
When I put Road To Respect on this morning it was 21.00 and only 4 places. However just checked again and they have
changed it to 6 places; BUT that horse no longer listed so presumably a non runner.Elisabeth
MemberRichard, your anti post selection is currently 21.00 odds at skybet

This is 2% of bank on each, eg £2 each bet if £100 bank on all selections.
Keep same stake all week Mon to Sat, then recalc 2% of bank for all bets on next weeks betsElisabeth

MemberCarl, in your DM place system, where you give 2 selections in a race do you ‘place’ both selections?
Also as harder up than usual this week thanks to dogs large vets bill plus new specs for me all in one week, do you know if there is a way that bets can be placed on Betfair for less than £2 stakes?Elisabeth

Nottingham 13:50 – Tango Fire
Catterick 14:00 – Jorvick Prince
Fontwell 14:10 – Red Rising
Nottingham 15:20 – Moonrise Landing
Catterick 16:00 – AirtonBack each selection with a 1pt win bet. Staking–50pt starting bank.
Either 1pt each selection OR
start with a £100 bank and £2 bets and use my weekly compounding staking plan.
Each week work out 2% of your bank and back at that level for the full week.
Recalc the 2% stake each week.Elisabeth
MemberCarl, re your place selections. I’ve been using them lately. Where do you put them on? On the exchanges or bookies sites. I normally bet on bookies sites. The odds are obviously low on place bets & the exchanges take 5% commission of wins.
