AvB/DM – job done with ease in 3rd race.

Carl, NRR – Fave won 1st qualifying race (both win and 2 places bets lost) – but recovery on 2nd race complete for both win and 2 places. Not really squeaky bum moments but odds would have been smaller in the 2 places market.
I have a loss recovery method in the 2 places markets but it’s based on higher odds selections – may consider the faves as well now.

    Today’s AvB/DM list –

    1. Bev 14.00 Just for the Craic to beat Our Little Pony
    2. Cart 14.40 Don’t Tell Val to beat River Icon
    3. Cart 15.40 Elusive Theatre to beat Shantou Tiger (1st vs 2nd rated)
    4. Cart 16.10 Man of Steel to beat Abbeyview
    5. Bev 16.30 Monsieur Glory to beat King of the Celts
SAW should have completed by now, but if recovery is needed for a 2nd target, here are the rest of the afternoon qualifiers. Please remember that 1 in 4 wins, so I’d suggest going no further than 2 with only 8 available at the moment.
    6. Cart 16.40 Bell Weir to beat Beau Bay
    7. Nott 16.50 Dominating to beat Amadeus Rox (1st vs 2nd rated)
    8. Nott 17.20 Fantasy Gladiator to beat Frantical

Most certainly Carl. I’ll be on it shortly.
With regards to the NRR, have you considered place laying the fav in the 2 place markets? The odds will be considerably lower and a lot of favourites don’t make it into the top 2 – reducing the amount of bum-twitchy moments….haha
    Just a thought.

Jmac, please don’t be disheartened by no interest. I am definitely interested but I am totally confused by what it all means (except race time and selections obviously).
As we know what you are trying to do, instead of supplying all your selections, maybe add a morning post with the number of selections you have found each day. Then at the end of the day, advise how many of those selections were winners and the daily profit/loss.
If it shows a good profit, maybe a thread for it can be opened and you can give more details as to how you come up with those selections.
    It’s just a thought.
You are part of our winning team and we’d miss you if you went quiet.

I have found one more AvB selection if anyone needs the recovery and it’s the BBOTD –

Sorry to hear that Elisabeth. I do recommend the SAW strategy.
My suggestion is to think of it as 1 in 4 wins, so based on the 7 I listed, ideally stop at 1 or because the first race won, stop at a 2nd (which came in the 3rd race).

    3. Chelm 13.55 Joe’s Spirit to beat Shawwal

    8. Cart 16.30 Pekanheim to beat Sergeant Pink

    17. Ffos 20.00 Heist to beat Minella Rebellion
    18. Ffos 21.00 State Sovereignty to beat Eat My Dirt

With 18 possibilities (although the 18th should only be used if recovery needs it) there should be at least 5 winners today.
I’d still stop at 1, maybe 2, then put my feet up for the day.
    Good luck

Hi Elisabeth, I employ the loss recovery staking plan Pippin uses on his place strategy. Profit target x 1.06 (to cover commission) / (odds-1) = stake. If it loses, add the losing stake to the original profit target then apply the calculation again (PT + losing stake x 1.06 / (odds-1) = recovery stake).
    Hope it helps.
Carl has the best selections for the strategy as most do finish in the placings if not win, so all I do is take his selections and match them up to the AvB market. If a long losing run occurs, stakes can get high, which is why I only go for a profit after the first winner – last 2 days have been first race, job done – Carl is that good.

This could easily be employed with a small bank and built up each day as long as the PT is reached early on. Carl has been braver then me and carried on but looking at results, this could easily go to 2 or 3 winners per day.
