I would just like to add that I am not piggybacking using the ratings. The selection process is totally different from the ratings (although sometimes they may happen to be the same).
I am just trying to reach out to likeminded people looking to boost their banks.
Would be happy to share my strategy and selection process with any investors too.Dean HarrisMemberWhooo!!! Have just caught up on 17 pages of general chat and a lot of reading done. Good to see more contributors. Sorry I’ve not posted in a while. Trying to sort out my own website and something for the roulette. Still working on it (and for those that know my strategies, I’m still 100% from them).
Not sure if this is allowed but wondered if anyone is interested in investing in me to make them a little extra cash in return, I have put a crowdfunding page up to help me continue my horse racing betting career.
Basically I’ve been working from home for a corporate company, which was paying the bills while I worked on the horse racing on the side. This is coming to an end at the end of the week and for me to continue with horse racing I need to continue being at home.
Personally I have doubled my betting bank from my own strategy (place laying) but it’s not enough to live off yet. Based on my personal profit target each day (a small percentage of the betting bank) the bank is growing slowly. However, to make things happen quicker I need an investment boost.
Please take a look at http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/deanharris and email me at deanharris69@hotmail.com for more details.
I’m looking for 10 investors and 50% ROI in 1 year is better than any bank can offer.Dean HarrisMemberMichael, if you’re referring to the 90 minute strategy as advised by TPS, then that is their own strategy suggestion and I can only assume it is based on past results.
I don’t use it as looking at the results every day, it is totally inconsistent and normally the 1st rated are very short odds.
If using the TPS strategy, that’s down to a choice. All I am saying is that it is always worth devising your own strategy rather than relying on something that can be unreliable.
I am not linked in any way to TPS, just another paying member, so I cannot suggest the best ways to make money – only to suggest a personal approach that only you can be at fault for when it goes wrong, which I often am myself hence not finding anything that’s worth suggesting at the moment.Dean HarrisMemberIf you want winners, then specialise on a certain race type, number of runners, class, etc and make your own selections. Choose 1st or 2nd rated. Some days will be good, but most will be bad.
This is not a tipping service – it’s a ratings supposedly picking out the ‘best’ 2 from each race card. There is no such thing as a sure thing.
The ratings provide a shortlist. Not all of them win – and it’s impossible to get both selections winning.
Like Michael, I also make a note of the selections and add some of my own data. I then use filters to see what I think is best for the day. If I’m honest, I am still not finding the best way after collecting a year and 4 months of data but it won’t stop me looking.
This forum is alive with suggestions of how to profit and mostly successful, just got to be picky and be in it for the long haul.Dean HarrisMemberMy own choice of BBOTD today – NAbb 17.20 Horse Force One
There weren’t any qualifying selections for my £1 to £100 challenge yesterday. Here are today’s selections, the start of a good run hopefully –
Betfair AvB market
NAbb 14.40 Mahlers Star to beat Bletchley Castle (3 runner race)
Sand 14.50 Petrus to beat Barford
NAbb 17.20 Horse Force One to beat Kebir De La VisDean HarrisMemberMy last attempt to turn £1 into £100 from the AvB markets was a disaster as after announcing that I had something working, it went 5 losses in a row.
So I got to filtering and looking for less selections. What I have found is very profitable after backtesting and should be good going forwards (2 losses from 72 selections – winning runs of 16 and 52 – current run is at 2).
Here are 2 for today (there was a 3rd but this already run and won) –
Worc 15.20 Spice Girl to beat Ridgeway Pearl
Worc 16.20 Celestial Path to beat Novis AdventusDean HarrisMemberJune was a learning curve for me in the AvB markets, using it to find winners and any other strategies that could make a profit.
It looks good as long as it can continue so let’s hope July can do the same.
These are all win bets/dutching –
Pont 15.00 Partitia/The Feathered Nest
Wolv 15.45 Voski/Sable Island
Pont 16.30 Yorkee Mo Sabee/Trinity StarOn Friday I focused on using the AvB market to build a small stake into a large total – ie. £1 to £100. I think I have found it. I backtested for a small part of June and the results were 46 out of 50 winners (winning runs of 16, 23, 2 & 3 so far, with a new run currently at 2). I will continue to backtest for the rest of June and provide a full month update (additionally backing the winning selection in the win markets would have produced 49pts profit in this small period – backtesting will hopefully improve on that too).
Here are today’s selections –
Wolv 14.45 Teepee Time to beat Quick Monet
Wolv 15.15 Master Me to beat Beauchamp Rose
Wolv 16.45 Tunes of Glory to beat Kraka
Wolv 17.15 Muzaahim to beat Baker Street
There may be more for this evening when Betfair is updated.Dean HarrisMemberHi Phil P, thanks for your post. I’ll definitely look into that. Yesterday I started using some data from Racing Post to see if I could determine any differences between the 2 horses and where they finish. I’ll have another look today.
More often than not, the selections over odds of 2 beat the lower priced runner so it’s finding those races where the lower priced are not as good as made out to be – non-hcp races often find the fave is better whereas with hcp races the fave is not always right.Dean HarrisMemberToday’s winners finder selections –
Nott 14.20 Silvington
Newc 14.30 Odds On Oli (consider place as well – high odds due to odds on favourite)
Newm 14.40 Mistress Quickly/Poseidon
Newm 15.15 Cappananty Con/Lady in Question
Nott 15.25 Cape to Cuba (hope this helps make up your mind Carl)
Newm 15.50 Muhajjal
Nott 16.00 Teqany/Golconda Prince
Newm 16.25 Twin Appeal/Ballymore Castle
Newm 17.00 Rebel De Lope/Endless Gold
Nott 17.10 Crosse Fire/Bonjour Steve
Newm 17.35 Compas Scoobie/Rio Ronaldo
Nott 17.45 Miningrocks/Street ArtYesterday I mentioned I am looking at another new angle and supplied some selections that matched TPS rated. There were 2 winners from 7 but not enough to cover the losses. However filtering down by smaller fields would have provided a small profit. So I am trying again with same selection process, same as Matt’s but fields of 9 or less.
Nott 16.00 Teqany
Newm 16.25 Khamaary
Newm 17.35 Rio Ronaldo
Ham 18.00 Duke of Yorkshire
Ham 20.10 Peach MelbaDean HarrisMemberIn response to Elisabeth’s question about my £1 to £100 challenge, here is a quick explanation.
I am looking into the AvB as a way to find a long win sequence – taking an initial £1 stake to £100 by rolling over the winnings each time.
It is not going well at the moment. However, I have managed to keep a profit each day by starting a new day afresh. So if the day wins, I win. If it loses, I have only lost £1 (yesterday first bet won but 2nd bet lost – total lost? You guessed it – £1 – I carried on and made 50p back on my last bet so although a losing day, my loss was actually only 50p and not £1).What I am also doing, after 2 winning bets, is withdrawing my initial stake of £1 and effectively rolling over free money/profit/OPM, etc. When making a long sequence, I will plan to withdraw 10% from each winning bet to maintain a profit just in case one of the bigger bets loses – a no lose situation despite losing.
So there you have it folks. That’s it in a nutshell.
I am focusing on the AvB markets because it’s a 50/50 chance of getting it right – toss of a coin? red/black in roulette? – it’s definitely possible to get a good long sequence with the right study.
I will keep everyone updated with my progress.Dean HarrisMemberHaven’t done too bad with the afternoon winners finder selections. Here are the evening ones –

Has been working a treat and ideal for casino bonuses due to it going under the bonus threshold often given of 67% or less of the table covered.
