Stage star was definitely the value in the 1st according to the ratings and what a ride to win
christopher jonesParticipantFantastic Richard well done for today your Naps are something that I have been following for a long time
christopher jonesParticipantAfter a fantastic start the system went downhill today, I’m going to wait for the data from Robert before I carry on to see if it is profitable or if I can find another angle there has to be something in backing top rated that are a certain amount clear I’m really surprised that it has never been looked in to before
christopher jonesParticipantYeah I had it anything below 1.75 I leave so far so good long way to go though
christopher jonesParticipantFirst one of the day lands hopefully more to come, a couple of these I have left as they are to short
christopher jonesParticipantRobert my email address is chrisjones4291@gmail.com thanks mate
christopher jonesParticipantA case of hitting the cross bar today unfortunately only 2 out of 8
christopher jonesParticipantThanks Richard could you just check that Sandrine is 4 clear of the 2nd rated as it was only 2 clear when posted yesterday
christopher jonesParticipantRichard looking back through the forum archives this is something that hasn’t really been explored and for me I want to see a top rated horse with a nice big gap to the 2nd rated that jumps out of the page to me. I’ve been backing these for 3 months with decent success although it only seems to be working when you do the ratings which obviously is only on Sundays and Irish racing. When you have filled in for Matt like yesterday I’ve noticed that the results have been really good like yesterday, Mishriff 4 clear destroyed the field at York. One last thing to note is that most selections are short priced favourites so a loss recovery system could be applied
christopher jonesParticipantI found 7 selections today that were 4 clear of the 2nd rated and 5 won only one being odds on, this is not a one off and has been making me a lot of money for a while but it only works when the horses ratings are scored in your format for some reason I don’t know why
christopher jonesParticipantYes Richard I mean the gap between the 1st and 2nd rated, when the gap is 4 or over I back the 1st rated, my problem is when Matt does the ratings you never have much of a gap between the top 3 rated making it harder to read if you get what I mean
christopher jonesParticipantHi Richard why is it when you do the ratings it looks totally different than Matts, I look for a gap of at least 4 between the 1st and 2nd rated horse, when you do the ratings I get plenty of selections but not when Matt takes over
christopher jonesParticipantMy selection process is that I concentrate on the all weather and I bet on a points process depending on how clear the horse is on the ratings starting at 0.5 clear, I also back if the top rated is value in the market, got some nice winners today, it only seems to work on the jumps when at least 2 clear, not sure about the flat season but I won’t even be looking at that until June when it’s in full swing
christopher jonesParticipantI think it’s style it out
christopher jonesParticipantFantastic Richard I’ve been following you for a long time now, great winner today much appreciated
