Hi Chris, yes got Mehmas at 6 for a £200 profit for the day, and no I don’t run it for any set length of time, just till a winner or I have lost £270 since there isn’t always enough bets in the first 90 mins. I will post the strategy in full on the strategies page sometime this evening, cheers Chris.

Hi Chris, you have got it about right. I don’t run two staking plans, I look at the prices after the previous race, and just back the horse that is 4/1 or over, if both are below then wait for the next race, if both are over 4/1 then I dutch using the set stake, so if I was on £30, say the bet would be £15 level stakes on both, butit doesn’t happen as often as you might think, or at least it hasn’t in the last 11 days.
I forgot to say that with the backing both to £1 level stakes, I use a BOG bookie and place all bets as soon as I can after the ratings are out. Cheers Chris.

To update my last post. After racing yesterday, a remarkable day again, my £1 level stakes on both is now £43.75 up, so I would now expect an annual profit of around £1232 if the last 11 days can be called an average. (£12,329 to £10 stakes.) It is clear that I won’t need to fork out any where near £9,330 of my own cash, though the system would obviously turn that and perhaps more over.
I do think that a figure of around £12,000 is a realistic expectation, and tell me, who could complain about that?
As regards the 4/1 Chris, after the last few days I would be tempted to say yes, but it is more profitable to apply the £10, £20 etc, with a stoploss of £270, and stop at a winner.Good luck today, we may need it!

Very good ratings performance so far today. I can’t see how anyone would be behind backing both in all races to level stakes, I have been doing it to £1, and only missed one day (wont do that again!) and assuming that I had not missed that I would be £18.07 ahead, having started with a bank of £100.00 11 days ago, and this figure includes today and assumes no winners tonight. I calculate that if these sort of results were replicated across the year that I should end up with £509.24 profit. Considering that I can print out the ratings then back them all in one sitting, the process is not overly time consuming, and £509.24 profit for comparatively little effort is not to be sneered at. However, as the process goes on, I may be able to increase the stakes through profit and/or increasing my bank. I am quite happy to carry on with this, as I don’t reckon I will have to actually fork out £9300.
Seperate to this, backing selections at 4/1 or above, regardless as to wether 1 or 2 rated, stoping at a winner, with a stop loss of £270.00 is showing a profit of £809 over 11 days, pretty cool!

Betinfos website may be one thing, the e-mails they use as advertising tools are another!!

Hi Matt, if you don’t want people using the strategy (bet all 1st rated, or even better dutch both) don’t use it in advertising! Betinfo24 were perfectly clear that this was a strategy that could net up to £41,000 in a year. If they are nothing to do with you and used this without your permission, you need to sort that out as it is well dodgy advertising.

Sounds like several took the advice, me too, sick as the proverbial parrot!!!!

    Hi Philip,
I take your point, and I am only paper trading at the moment (when I say it made me £270, its on paper only sadly) but it did achieve another winning day today, making £260. The loss stop point is high at £450 (for nine bets), but I envisage starting at £5, going to £45, leaving a similar loss stop as that proposed for the 90 min method. I will paper trade for a couple of months though.
Interesting what Richard says about backing all first rated horses. Bet Info24 were definately championing it as a strategy, but maybe I will give up on that one. Once again thanks for your reply, it was appreciated, cheers Chris.

First, I am NOT knocking these ratings. I have posted a strategy on the strategy page that made me £270 yesterday. However non of my queries seem to get answered, and it seems that only a select few get answers, however I will try another one. I have been trying the l/s dutching of all first and second rated runners (except that I decided to swerve races involving odds on runners) after seeing your posts regarding the profitability of such a course of action, yet on your start page you state that you will make a loss if you back all rated horses, and you will make a loss if you back all first rated horses, so which is it? As to the ratings themselves, with a good strategy they are great, but as you say they are not tips, which has got me questioning the back all strategy. Cheers.

Took a right caning today, backing both to level stakes, glad I left odds on shots out as they all won! Five days in now, and have had one winning day, and am £37.99 down at the moment, largely due to losing £24.51 today. Onwards and hopefully upwards, but I have a feeling I might do better leaving maiden races alone, is there any historical data on this?

in reply to: General TPS Chat #3135

Hi, I have started to follow the dutching to level stakes of the first and second rated horses. I dont expext to get the percentage returns advertised (but will be delirious if I do!) as I will be happy at half that. I don’t however back at all in races that have an odds on selection. I take Richards point about the £93,000 stake requirement, but this surely is part of turnover and does not equate to the betting bank required, this I cant work out, so I have started betting to £1 level stakes and will increase by £1 at a time as the profits allow. My question is this, has there ever been a day with no winners at all, and would you still bet on the odds on races on the chance that the longer priced horse winning may be long term profitable? Cheers.
