4/1 Plus went right to the wire and sadly the ill advised gamble meant we ended up dutching, but when Swendab went to the front, never looked like losing so we ended up all square!
chris pottertonMemberCheers Richard, usual quality on a Sunday, good day for 7-20, and had a decent e/w punt on Wilcosdiana, squeaky bum after the last but landed and got 14/1!
chris pottertonMemberHi Carl, and anyone else interested. I generally stick to the principle that if there are multiple dutches, then I wont be likely to profit outside the first three or four, its also an indication that there are large fields and competitive races. Sometimes I just don’t “feel” it. Since early in October I have posted every day wether I am betting or not, and why (except when I was away, time off is time off and I don’t bet), in the shared tips section, and will continue to do so (the 105.5 pts profit relates to this time). The figure of £9765.34 relates to a unit stake of £10, so my risk is high, no winner means a loss of £450, which is why I exercise some caution, but the 4/1 plus rule means that a winner at the ninth attempt, at the minimum 4/1 returns £450 so it would be a break even day, no loss. Anyone starting should use whatever unit stake their bank can fund – as a general rule, the minimum bank I would advise is 10 x potential daily loss, so for £1, it would be £450, and review as your bank grows. I first put up the 4/1 PLUS a couple of years ago, there has never been anywhere near 10 losing days. There have been no losing days since I started posting each day. Hope that helps.
chris pottertonMemberWell done Richard. I use the 7-20, but not quite as successfully as you, your ratings give you the edge there, but I would echo the point you make, discipline is the key, and knowing when not to bet! It is not everyone’s cup of tea, but by being selective on the days to use it , the 4/1 plus method has made £9765.34 since the beginning of July, which would, if it continues, produce nearly £24,000 a year, as you say. tax free!
chris pottertonMemberBelated BOOM for Born Legend @ 16/1, with two placers good profit guaranteed whatever Newcastle brings.
chris pottertonMemberBusiness concluded for 4/1 PLUS as Rolling Dylan rolls home at 4/1, however, 5/1 was available most of the morning, so hope you took that. Dutching with Little Jon leaves us with a profit of 2 units, and a rolling profit of 105.5.
chris pottertonMemberWhat happened tonight Richard!!! Personally I had a poor day on my picks, but boy have I just made up for it with two good win bets following your Irish. Glenmoore and St Brelades Bay. I was confident about one coming in but two @ 12/1 and 25/1 in successive races – quids in, fantastic job big cheers Richard.
chris pottertonMemberAnybody else playing Gortroe Joe in 7/20 – hope it right!
chris pottertonMemberHi Matt, which is it?
chris pottertonMemberSorry Matt, second rated! Doing well today arnt we!!
chris pottertonMemberHi Matt, which is the first rated in the 4-55 at Cheltenham, is it Gortroe Joe or Dans Le Vent?
chris pottertonMemberGood day for the ratings so far, cheers Matt.
chris pottertonMember4/1 Plus done and dusted nice and early as Champagne Rules bolts up. I will assume that no one got 4/1 about Quazyna, so its 8.5 units profit moving us on to 89.5 units.
chris pottertonMemberBOOM! International Law spares the blushes!!
chris pottertonMemberBlowing an absolute hoolie here in the sunny Isles of Scilly, where despite force 9-10 winds it really is sunny!
