Sorry Richard, I meant to add that some statistical evidence of performance at certain tracks, or types of track, to help narrow the choice down would make this line of marketing more acceptable (and I dont mean you have to include the details, more suggest that they are available should you join).
chris pottertonMemberYes Richard, what would you say to someone that followed that strategy and selected Stratford or Worcester? Its like advertising the fact that you could make £41000 from dutching all selections, a strategy that you then intimate to be foolish once the punter has landed on these pages. It is misleading, that is my gripe. Why cant you advertise the ratings as ratings – you say they are NOT tips, yet the line of marketing presents a somewhat different view, and this was directly aimed at those that are not yet members, just seems a bit shady to me. There you are , those are my issues. I think your ratings are worth more than that and could be sold without all these big money hooks.
chris pottertonMemberBet Info24 at it again, forget the fact that dutching all (how would you know in advance which meeting will do well?) led t6o a small loss – Dutching pays, at 2/5 meetings!!
chris pottertonMemberI agree Phil, I couldn’t get better than 7/2 so its a no bet.
chris pottertonMemberNobody has to follow what is put on here or the strategies section. There is a good old saying, the bookie cant make you bet. These strategies and selections reflect peoples views and opinions as to the ways the ratings can be used. In my opinion paying good money to buy largely odds on tips is ridiculous, but to someone else it may be bread and butter from which they profit – horses for courses! The point is this, you can pay for the ratings abnd take as long as you want deciding the best way to use them without risking a penny, and the rest of it you can choose to ignore.
4/1 Plus straight in again today, as a footnote!chris pottertonMember4/1 Plus back in a bit of profit for me, maybe stick with maidens a bit longer!! Patience is always the key Phil!
chris pottertonMemberHi Phil, yes, its all a bit depressing as I have just gone int the negative. That said, if the ratings turn around and start to deliver as they did when I started, it will soon pick up again, it is a patience thing. I am considering leaving all maiden races out as I’ve noticed they are pretty poor, and the early maidens have cost good returns on the 8 and 9 races in a few cases.
chris pottertonMemberWindsor specialist, second rated Perfect Pastime 14/1 get in!! RPR Joint top rated, another little angle I’ve been looking at, more when theres more data.
chris pottertonMemberHi Phil, yes I did record a losing day 4/1 plus, but I am still ahead over all, but starting to need a better run! As a marker of the last 8 days on dutching both to £1 level stakes has been bloody awful, nearly halved my bank, obviously wiping out any profit (Sat 30 07 did that!), but thats the way this game goes at times, and the worse thing anyone can do is to chase loses, we will get a good run to compensate before too long. Day of for me so that I can spend it sulking – Argyle lost at home 3-0! Hurts more than this horse racing stuff.
chris pottertonMemberMime Dance or Depth Charge? Any one going to bother?
chris pottertonMemberCan I have some clarification please. In the 6-40 at Ayr, should that be Mime Dance, or Depth Charge? Currently Mime Charge.
chris pottertonMemberTodays business concluded, profit £130.Phil, you’re right, I missed Good Luck Charm, don’t know how, such mistakes usually go against me! Call the third a losing day, still in decent profit.
chris pottertonMemberHi Phil, as captain mainwaring might have said, I was wondering who would be first to spot that! Should have been Private Matter!!
chris pottertonMemberLeg 2, 14-00 Muss, Ray Donavon £20 win @ 7/1 bet 365.
chris pottertonMember4/1 Plus kicks off with Zebspear £10 win @ 6/1 bet365.
