I am going to try rolling trixies starting a new one each day using Larrys method, so happy to be on Dubhe @ 7/2 for starters!
I think Carl makes a very fair point. Taking Larry’s strategy as an example, as it is so consistent, how much value does this add to the ratings? For me a fair amount, and the beauty of it is it can be used by those that want to bet and go, either just back his first qualifier in a single, or roll over trixies like I am doing. The same can be said of Carl’s matched and filtered selections, especially for those who like multi bets, more added value. As Carl himself puts it nice work if you can get it!

As you point out Larry, the horse doesn’t know what price it is! BC Double landed on the second trixie @9/4 giving us a profit of £16.16. Although we failed to get all 3 in, thats two trixies and a profit on both, it really is only a matter of time before all three come in and I dont anticipate leaving my money behind too often. Tjhanks for the method Larry, I am certainly carrying on with this, will see how I do.

Jon, 7/20 system was I believe devised by Richard and works on numbers. It is quite simple. Back all horses in Matts ratings and Richards Irish ratings that are priced at 6/1 up to 19/1. It pays to get on as early as you can with a BOG bookie. Many don’t bet with less than 8 runners as statistically the odds may be against you, but I have to say that I do back down to and including 5 runners (where I can get 1/4 the odds 1-2) and have picked up winners at up to 16/1. This system includes all rated runners, so 1st and 2nd, even 3rd when there is one, you may therefore be backing up to 3 in a race. This system clearly dosen’t suit everyone, it has longish losing runs, but if you are in it for the long haul it is well profitable. Patience is required. I started with a bank of £100, making £1 e/w bets, now on £6 e/w, as you should double your stake as the bank doubles.

Chris S, you should not give this up. I have been following 7/20 for some while now and started with a bank of £100, betting £1 e/w and have doubled the stake every time the bank has doubled, likewise I have reduced in a similar manner after hard periods. I am now betting at £6 e/w and have not had to invest any more than my original stake.

Should have added quite a lot of 7/2 for Tember, eg Bet 365, Ladbrokes and many more BOG bookies.

Shame about the third leg of the rolling trixie, nevertheless a profit of £23.25 was achieved, so we start again tomorrow.

Elisabeth, the tip on Cesar et Rosalie was not mine, it was Larrys. I am using his method and trying to capitalise on its fantastic first race strike rate by putting them in rolling trixies. If you look through the forum you will find Larrys method, which basically uses the first rated by Matt in the first fouir non handicap races of the day and larry stops at a winner, staking 1 one the first, if that looses (which is rare) 2 on the second, then 4 then 8. I can take no credit at all for the selection.

Rolling trixie using Larry’s method, first race only. Last leg of the current trixie, 2-00 Ayr French Flyer we have £63.25 going on the treble, £28.75 on the AC double and £22 on the BC double, so that is £114 win on French Flyer @ 11/8 with Paddy Power. In the meantime we can pocket £63.25 from the AB double guarenteed profit on this trixie of £23.25.

Leg three of the rolling trixie experiment today. Not exactly cashing out Carl, but we will take our winning double and pocket it.

Elisabeth, I am using Larry’s method, but only the first qualifier, A B C are the horses, ie day one horse A day two horse B day three horse C. 2 out of 2 and that means the first trixie is in profit!
