William JohnsonParticipant
Well I’ve been tracking the In-Running odds lately and just today Brexit Time 3.15 Ham hit 670 and managed to win, also Aurag 2.15 Ham hit 44 and won as well.
I believe there must be an angle to build a strategy for this, any ideas???William JohnsonParticipantHi Matt, I am keeping records and missed 19-6-18, on the blog it just says added soon, any chance you can direct me to where I can find them please.
William JohnsonParticipantThanks Matt, seems like the 8.35 Uttoxeter is missing though.
Cheers Bill.William JohnsonParticipantGreat stuff Richard, should there only be one selection in the 5.30 Newmarket ?
Cheers Bill.William JohnsonParticipantHi Jake, I bet on the strategy when I have enough time to take the full roster in, so I don’t have a daily target I run until I get an overall profitable sequence conclusion. Sometimes I stop at the end of a day and even if I haven’t concluded a sequence I simply carry on when time allows, sometimes it can be a day or so later, but I make good profits overall.
William JohnsonParticipantHi Nation7, the 1.4 strategy as proofed is, using ALL odds of 1.4 or under, so therefore if there are two qualifiers in the same race its two bets of the same stake that you are on in the staking plan. If you have a result that means the overall sequence has not been concluded the next bet is at the next stake in the plan, then just continue until you achieve the overall gain. Then reset to the base stake and begin another sequence.
This strategy runs with increased staking until it reached 8 increased stakes, then as long as you are still in a profitable sequence you re-set back to the first stake in the plan.
This strategy runs with 8 staking increases then resets back to the lowest stake, because very frequently it achieves many consecutive winners often way above 8.
Its really up to you if you want to change this for a more comfortable number say 3-4 increases then re-set, but the proofing runs with 8 and shows great profit to date. Also with this strategy we expect to occasionally get involved in the odd difficult run, but as long as you set it up with the suggested banking plan 25% for the working=/compounding bank and 75% for the reserve bank you should be fine, also when you do conclude on the end of a longer battle is normally yields a large bonus gain. Also remember when you make an overall gain bank it at the same ration as above 25% Working and 75% Reserve, keeping this ratio is important, in fact the further you go you could even apportion the gains more like 20% working and 80% reserve just to provide extra protection over the long term.
Its a little bit complex but well worth managing if you can. just look at the Proofed results!!
William JohnsonParticipantHi Jake, on the 1.4 strategy, its just the ups and downs of any system just as you say. Also you have deviated from the original system that is being proofed live. The original plays ALL qualifiers under 1.4 odds, by changing the strategy you end up in uncharted territory.
Also on that basis personally think the first 5 top rated places is the best option as again this is the one being proofed live, with profit over more than 6 months.
Cheers Bill.
William JohnsonParticipantHi James welcome on board, if you are referring to Strategy three (top rated Places in the first 5 or 10 races) as shown on the results page, if you view the strategy it reads as follows.
‘In the case of the daily roster (5 or 10 bets, whichever strategy you decide to use), finishing without concluding a winning sequence, continue the bets the next day (or when ever you are able) following on from where you finished on the staking plan’.
So it means after experiencing a losing day, the next day you simply continue with the progressive staking plan, the goal being to reset stakes after concluding an overall winning sequence.
Hope that helps.
Cheers Bill.William JohnsonParticipantHi Mike, some of the BOT’s allow small stakes on Betfair, but there is a little trick you can use to bet lower than the min £2 stake yourself.
First you select your horse and reduce the odds to 1.02 or something very low.
Next add £2 stake in the backers stake box, then click place bet.
Now view open bets and amend the stake to £2 plus the stake you want (in this case if you wanted a £0.50 stake amend it to £2.50.
Now click update bet and you will see there are now 2 open bets, the original £2 bet and the additional £0.50.
next cancel the £2 bet and adjust the odds on the small remaining bet as required. You can also Either leave it (the new lower stake bet) at the low odds until just before the off so as to decide if it is still a qualifier on the odds, or take SP, or take the current odds whichever you prefer. The example above is for LAY bets, but a similar process can be used for placing back bets to win. The main difference is that when you select the win option you must increase the odds to anything up to 1000 before you click place bet. then continue as outlined above.
Important – Remember for LAY bets decrease the odds before you place the initial £2 bet, and for Win (Back) bets increase the odds before you place the initial £2 bet.Hope that helps, cheers Bill.
William JohnsonParticipantWatching the racing as I am following places today. can’t help noticing the amount of good horses (jockeys) that make sure they don’t place as soon as they know they can’t WIN the race, maybe making the most of the handicapper for next time
William JohnsonParticipantCarl, very well put, I am in Spain right now and the Spanish think the same too, Governments have to take action we cannot sit here providing these evil idiots with easy targets anymore.
William JohnsonParticipantI have been playing all the ratings today on my own staking model, it started off really slow and then hit an even poorer run. I just stopped with a winner, Chant 29 BSP !!!!!! delivering a BONUS return. Keeping disciplined is key when you work to a plan.
William JohnsonParticipantThanks Neil, that has explained it very well. I’m completely tuned in now.
William JohnsonParticipantHi Chris where do I find the 7/20 system or is it called by another name.
Cheers Bill.William JohnsonParticipantThanks Chris, I think I need to check out the 7/20 method too, my first stake was £1 rising rising by 6% each time before I hit a winning bet in any sequence I do have a healthy bank of £2000 so my compounding is a mere .05% Its something I have imported from a PLACE system I used in the past. It performs well over time and although labour intensive, I do have the time being retired. Also even though the starting stakes are on the low side I do see a nice rise in the bank as the compounding begins to push the bank and the stakes up as I make progress.
Even so I want to get my head around the 7/20 as it would be nice not to manage so many live bets, although I don’t run my system every day and maybe the 7/20 can be utilized to give me more time.
