A third place and an absolutely no where, but thats the the nature of the Eyecatchers!
Friday’s EYECATCHERS
1545 Kempton – Afraid of Nothing 5/2
Twice a cosy winner over 7f at Epsom, beat a useful type last time out, forgiven French disappointment and much more to come at 3!
1840 Curragh – Fiscal Rules 16/1
Came clear with future Group winner on debut, not seen since but likely much more to come if fit.
2100 Newbury – Gallata Bridge 13/2
Big, strong colt. Showed good attitude on debut over inadequate trip staying on in closing stages. Wants middle distances now 3 and will win for this top yard!
June 11, 2020 at 9:43 am #31580Richard LevettModeratorAnother cracking effort from both EYECATCHERS yesterday, both finishing a respectable third, but Dream Together would have brought home the bacon at 11/1SP and at 1/5th odds good each way money (much higher of course on the BF place mkt)
Thursday’s EYECATCHERS
1500 Yarmouth – Al Qaqaa 3/1
Appreciated step up to 1m when runner up on second start, more to come for leading stable and a likely winner!
1400 Gowran Park – Bligh 8/1
Improved from debut when staying on for fifth here last time, bred to do better over further and more expected this term.
June 10, 2020 at 12:25 pm #31575Richard LevettModeratorAnother brilliant placed effort, Paint It Black finishing 3rd up at Wolves @ 25/1SP
Wednesdays EYECATCHERS
1645 Wolverhampton – Asbaagh 11/10
Green and slowly away on debut before making late ground behind stablemate, likely improver and should be close!
1420 Pontefract – Dream Together 17/2
Good late headway on debut after looking green early on, likely improver and should come on or the experience.
June 9, 2020 at 9:27 am #31571Richard LevettModeratorA brilliant 18/1SP 2nd place from Annie Bee at Naas yesterday!
Tuesday’s EYECATCHERS…..
1330 Leopardtown – Monument Valley 10/1
Green and outpaced on debut before making good headway, likely improver and should be winning over longer trips!
1830 Wolverhampton – Paint It Black 22/1
Travelled well on handicap debut before being denied a run on inside, still early days and may find a race at that lowly levelsoon.
June 8, 2020 at 8:24 am #31565Richard LevettModeratorMonday’s EYECATCHERS…..
Two to keep an eye on….
1805 Naas – Aunt Bee 12/1
Not given a hard time on debut but made good late headway after being outpaced, more to come over further, one for each way money?
1455 Naas – Forever My Girl 20/1
Very green on debut but stayed on strongly when the penny dropped, should come on massively for that experience, again one to watch in the betting ring and an each way shot.
March 17, 2020 at 12:04 pm #31407Richard LevettModeratorTuesday’s EYECATCHER
1415 Taunton – Mille Sussurri 11/8
Travelled on hurdles debut and saw out the trip well, beaten by useful type and should improve!
March 12, 2020 at 8:57 am #31380Richard LevettModeratorThursday’s EYECATCHER
1410 Cheltenham – A Great View 14/1
In good form since returning from injury lay off and not given a hard time when qualifying for the Pertemps, well treated on best form and can go well in the final!!! One to watch.
February 29, 2020 at 10:36 am #31349Richard LevettModeratorSaturday’s EYECATCHERS
1655 Lingfield – Fleeting Visit 7/1
Trailed home last on return from long lay off but only after having run badly checked, on a workable mark here and should come on for the run – solid each way claims!
1830 Southwell – Harbour Front 5/4
Off the mark when dropped in class on the fibresand last time out, still unexposed and can follow up on more conventional surface.
February 21, 2020 at 11:02 am #31325Richard LevettModeratorFriday’s EYECATCHER
1720 Exeter – Doyannie 15/2
Ridden quietly both starts and not that starightforward at start last time out, was always travelling and made ground right to the line. She’s a big mare, easily capable of winning a bumper.
February 5, 2020 at 9:21 am #31298Richard LevettModeratorWednesday’s EYECATCHERS
1445 Ludlow – Drinks Interval 7/1
Struggling over fences of late but good effort when runner up over hurdles on penultimate start, 1lb higher here, solid each way claims!
1740 Wolverhampton – Krafia 7/1
Only second start today but likely to improve on last times 4th place. Shown can be effective on the AW, each way value here.
February 2, 2020 at 12:36 pm #31293Richard LevettModeratorSunday’s EYECATCHER
1440 Taunton – Oxwich Bay 3/1
Acts on soft ground so conditions today will suit, proven at this trip, very good jockey up top, only slight worry is has fallen a couple of times!
January 31, 2020 at 10:54 am #31288Richard LevettModeratorFriday’s EYECATCHER
1845 Newcastle – Waitaki 2/1
Consistent type and effective on this surface, proven at this trip, not without a chance.
January 24, 2020 at 11:23 am #31282Richard LevettModeratorFriday’s EYECATCHER
1425 Doncaster – Galice Macalo 5/2
Fell last time when disputing at Aintree, keen and a touch green on that occasion and may still have won had she stood up!. Should make amends today.
January 23, 2020 at 6:27 pm #31280Richard LevettModeratorBoth EYECATCHERS went off as favourites! And neither lived up to the promise, Little India bringing up the rear (lame I fear) and Blazing Dreams a remote 6th.
January 23, 2020 at 9:43 am #31279Richard LevettModeratorYesterdays EYECATCHER remains a winner in waiting, but it won’t be long after running a cracker yesterday but not quite enough on the day!
Thursday’s EYECATCHER’s
1345 Southwell – Little India 11/10
Improved markedly this season, loves it here and acts well on this surface, experienced jockey a plus!
1630 Newcastle – Blazing Dreams 6/4
Form a bit in and out, but effective on this surface and the trip no issue, can go close!
