Some decent results on Saturday and whilst the BBOTD failed to win, we had a very nice win double come in and even the extra bet won so three from the 4 meant a decent profit if placing them in a lucky 15. Another reasonable day for the Service and yet again we produced more winners than our main rivals, Speedratings which as I say, is my main barometer to which i assess our effectivenss against.
I stated a few weeks back I was working on a system for Chelmsford and would report back. Im still playing with the parameters and looking back at some recent results both Great Leighs days and more recent results as the surface is the same albeit it has been "turned over". The ratings for Chelmsford are produced using the tinkered parameters so if using the ratings for Chelmsford, please tread carefully. Please assume unless other wise stated that this "tinkering" will continue until I can evaluate the results in order to provide more consistant results as seen at, for example, Lingfield yesterday!

The Ratings performed reasonably well yesterday and we gained a fair few winners, some at decent prices. I noted a few decent 1-2s as well. I hope members were able to take advantage as we have seen a dip in results overall during the past few weeks. We set the bar so high at times that when we only get a few winners, it seems poor in comparison. However, we still fare better than our main competitors, Speedratings which is my own barometer when evaluating results. Moving on to today. The ground will be a key element today. Lots of rain around, very windy and with some horses unfit, or should they fail to jump well, can all lead to their chances being scuppered. Personally I'm not sure its a day to go in heavy. Tread carefully as many trainers will see races at Haydock and Ascot especially as a step to Cheltenham.
Remember to also consider Dutching or betting both selections to level stakes if odds allow - Saturdays are especially key for such strategy given 2nd rated % successes.
