We ended the day yesterday with our tails up as we bagged a 6 first rated winners from 7 at Cheltenham. The BBOTD won by a distance so back to winning form there and we were in and out really in the other meetings. Little gems that please me personally is the Ratings picking Directorship in the last at Ascot. 16+ runner field and we grab an 8/1 winner, but equally I get disappointed when you see well rated (and odds on shots) getting turned over by 25/1 shots whose rating is 20lb+ lower or around 8 lengths + worse. Fallen for a Star was dismal. If you look at Ponty - 2.00 won, 2.35 (fallen for a star) should have won, 3.10 won, 3.45 won, 4.15 won, so that should have been first 5 winners. 2nd rated wins the 4.45 and Scoreline and Thatcherite come 2-3 in the last not beaten far. This shows how powerful the Ratings can be and at times show up a lot of tipsters but its now about betting on them all, its about selective betting and stopping when your daily target is reached. Not the best of times over recent days with quite a few selections just failing to get their head across the line first - we're there or thereabouts given the number of 2nd rated winners and often beating the 1st rated (not by much) but we need to get back our consistency. The Bigger Price Trial is going well and just yesterday alone we're 55points up after we got a 5pt 12/1 winner in stollen story. Unofficial BBOTD also won very nicely.

Good morning! A know a fair few of you ignored my warnings yesterday as I came home to around 20 or so emails.........but pleasantly, I was happy that 90% of the emails were emails of thanks - the other 10% were asking for a bit of advice....so no bad emails! Yay!
One email pointed out that the 1st rated at Ripon had a 9/1 (Pipers Note) and an 11/1 (Canny Kool) winner
Our Trial had a 100/30 winner with Coulsy to go with the 8/1 yesterday.
Im glad the majority of members stayed away from the Ratings though as it wasnt all peaches and Cream! Today we only have 2 meetings. The dreaded Chelmsford and flat racing, yes flat racing at Wetherby! Another day to enjoy the.......rain? 🙁

Not a great day overall yesterday in truth. Though I was totally dismayed with the ride given to our BBOTD. Went off at 100mph - jockey must have thought it was a 7f race, not 2m 5f on a hot day!? Right selection, poor ride! SAW members had a 2 from 3 day making it 8 winners from 9 selections over the past 3 days. Not a bad strike rate.

BBOTD and win double won giving us a treble, despite the short prices! There were quite a few 2nd rated popping up in the winners enclosure yesterday. Equally quite a few 1st rated just being pipped into 2nd. On one hand it shows the strength of the Ratings, on the other, it adds to the frustration. Well, we had a better Windsor Meeting than I envisaged. Some really decent first rated winners. Perhaps I should trust my ratings a little more at times. Overall an ok day, disappointed with the BBOTD being turned over but that is our first losing BBOTD for ages. Noble Friend ran no sort of race despite being around 3 lengths ahead of the field on the numbers. A tale of 2 meetings yesterday - hard to know how Market Rasen got the winners they did - some awfully rated horses popping up, but much much better at Ffos Las with a 5 from 7 or 4 from 7 1st rated and at very nice prices. Strange sometimes how it all works. If only horses ran to their rating i've given them, we'd all be happier and richer too! Still, if you did ignore my warning and played, and played Ffos Las, well done!

BBOTD won for us yesterday and we also managed to get a few 1-2 and after i watched back the racing, we were a little unlucky at Lingfield not to get a few more winners - first race we had the 2-3 losing by a shd/neck. Sovereign Debt was given the worst ride of the day and we had Anglophile and Hidden Gold another 2-3. We had a 22/1 2nd place with Borderleescott - I am really trying to pick the best bits of what was a so-so day. Today we have Saturday racing. Looks another small stakes day. Again, please heed my warnings. I can see how the ratings look and when I myself swerve the day, I think thats proof enough to swerve the day. ratings didnt perform too badly yesterday. Probably fair to say first half of the day was better than the second, but given these arent tips, most members should have had enough winner to make their daily profit target and stop. Shame the BBOTD bumped into an improver. We've been having great success with the BBOTD lately so lets hope we get back on track today as i know quite a few put that in their banker multiples. What was refreshing was how we absolutely smashed speed ratings again yesterday. I cant recall a Wednesday in which they have bettered our win/place stats.

Yesterday was a shocker for the most part, Win Double won, but Aerial was given a completely shocking ride. He should have made mincemeat of that opposition and to struggle like he did means either the horse went wrong or there was something amiss or worse, the Jockey was deliberately trying to lose! I hope it wasn’t the latter. To be honest when a 23 rated horse wins (2.55 Southwell) you know you’re in for a bad day. Honestly, 23 rated horses should not win. Full stop. To beat the 2nd favourite in a 4 runner race as well as he did and have the odds on fav a further 11 lengths back…..insert your own headline here! We move on…..today Wincanton is described as good. Rain is expected and lots of it, so we could be good to soft or even soft there today. Be mindful of going changes and massive fluctuations in the live betting market!
